Lots of information given which made check in when office was closed very easy. Private use of pool was great for our 4 and 7 year old. Pool table in lounge and even a resident cat which the kids also loved. Didn't get to walk the gardens but free tennis and golf was a nice touch. DVD library also good for the kids and the place was very spacious and very clean and comfortable.

Water pressure was poor in most areas but it is an old house so to be expected Kitchen needs an appliance overhaul. Oven and hob need an upgrade and extractor hood button was broken. Minor issues basically.

Comfortable apartment and fully equipped kitchen. It was all very clean and the extra leisure facilities were great. The gardens are also lovely.

Bed was comfy, although the room was very cold.

When arrived, I called every phone number and no one answered. We found the office around the back. We were very thirsky and hungry after our trip and were annoyed to see that there was no food or drink options available on-site... I had to drive 10 mins into Thirk just to get some bottles of water.

The cottage was nice and fit 4 of us in comfortably. The beds were nice. Grounds were nice and would be a lovely place to be in summer months.

It was a little dated. The sofas/chairs were not the nicest to sit on, quite uncomfortable. The hot tub didn’t work as it should which was disappointing, we left a message with reception on answer phone as you can’t seem to get hold of anyone any other way but didn’t call us back. When we spoke to the receptionist the morning after she said she couldn’t hear our message, explained the problem and her response was “so it wasn’t an emergency then?” No it wasn’t but we booked the cottage wanted use of the hot tub so was one of the reasons for choosing this property. It was maybe her sense of humour but her customer service skills just seemed to come across quite rude.

If you want peace and tranquility you go to Sutton Hall Resort. Its my 5th time and going again for the 6th one this month January 2024. I go there both in winter and summer and basically all weather because you go from your house to another house basically but with pool, jaccuzi and hot tub facing the nice river. It quiet and peaceful. Id pay for anything that gives me peace and quietness to reflect back on life and be thankful for the good things around you . Its only an hour and half from me and Id do it again and again. I recommend you to try this place. If you have small kids they will enjoy the pool so much. Briliant place to go.
