We hired Master Chef Chris MacFarlane for the 7 day stay and requested for native island meals. He was the best! We shopped together and had salt fish, Ackee, bammy, breadfruit, ox tail, Beef bone soup, jerk chicken, rice and peas, fried fish and crab, yams, green bananas, plantain and more veggies. He would cook it up so scrumptiously.. The accommodations were not quite like the vrbo ad. The jacuzzi didn't work, the electricity was inconsistent one night, there was no hand soap in the house, the outdoor lounging areas was non existent, there was no laundry dryer only outdoor lines ( not always useful in the rainy days we were there), the sofas are dated and lumpy, there was no hot water for bathing only Luke warm, and if you are particular about your pillows I suggest bring your own. The decorative pillows on the bed were too big to sleep on. The living room TV speakers are blown and there is an x box but no way to plug it in to use it. The fans on the front veranda and the master bedroom did not work.

This was a great place to stay. The house was beautiful along with the neighborhood. Couple issues though. One, the hammock was unfortunately missing and two, the pool table didnt work. Both were what really drew me into the renting the villa. The pool table I kept getting different answers on whether its operable or not and the hammock, the maintenance couldn't replace it until the following week, which was weird, its just the netting. Above all, it was restful, and the gym and pool passed the time. Will be back again but hopefully the pool table and hammock are available.

The property is upon first glance very clean and well kept. Upon entering the home you can see that it is immaculate. The owners and business manager go out of their way to make sure that guest feel welcomed and accommodated. Any concerns that we voiced were quickly responded to and they were very kind as well. I would recommend this place 10x over to anyone looking for a safe and clean accommodation while in Jamaica. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Tropical Escape home is the perfect hideaway while exploring our Island paradise. Ideally situated in the garden parish of St. Ann, ten minutes drive from Ocho Rios, Dunn’s River Falls. My first impression was wow this place is really nice! It is well kept, spacious and in a quiet neighbourhood was clean and grounds beautifully cared for like a hidden gem the home was well equipped for 6 ladies. Also equipped with 24 hour security in a gated community the property is like the pictures shown!! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and the pool was nice to have. Gary the property manager went above and beyond making us feel welcome. Janiece the house manager greeted us at the door with a smile she was very good at her job. If you have a reason to (or even if you don't), arrange to have Miss Bev Chief cook a meal for you. You have to be specific when placing your food menu otherwise, She is fantastic. Ask for the jerk chicken! Chavon the driver took great care of us and helped us out with info and knowledge of the area wonderful driver to and from airport NO PROBLEM!!! So glad we didn't stay at a resort as we was able to have a more personal conversations and learned about the culture! We will be back! We arrived stressed, and left happy!!!

Rented this villa for my mom on our 1st visit back to Jamaica since the pandemic - check in process was smooth and easy information was sent to us timely - Ms Brown and Janiece were easy to get a hold of, very pleasant whenever we contacted them especially Janiece we made multiple calls because we had multiple relatives coming to visit my mom and she was on point every single time...BIG UP to the team at this villa - we lacked nothing - we had rented 2 other villa in the community because we were a group of 17 but we all gathered at this home to eat and just be together then we left and went to our separate villa after a belly full of food, laughter and great company. Lots of seating options in this villa , some were outside , some inside , loved the yard - would have been over the moon if the Jacuzzi was working but wasn't a deal breaker as the pool was walking distance and we were on the road doing activities for most of the daytime so it wasn't missed - I think the house is solar powered which is a plus as when the other villas were experiencing low voltage and I needed to give my 2year old a breathing treatment with the nebulizer - my mom's villa was the only villa that was able to power the nebulizer - so my son could get his treatment which we were so relieved and grateful for. Mr. Gary even texted me to ensure all was well with the villa - my mom wants this to be her villa on her visits - So to Mr. Dixon and his team - kudos Job well done - we felt at home and most importantly my mom loved her stay and so did the rest of family that travelled with us even those who were local that came to visit. absolutely superb. Thank you for making it a memorable visit for our family.

My first time Renting this house was good, it was Like home away from home Except having my company accused of stealing baking soda smh out of the refrigerator but my second visit was not pleasant I was miserably hot. The lights nor air conditioning worked most of my 9 days there. I talked to the owner Gary Dixon who reassured me He would give me 7 free days because of them changing from regular Electricity

The Chef Bev was the BEST her food was to die for. You didnt need to add anything.

I had a really good time with my friends.

The house was not aired and made fresh for our arrival. The refrigerator needed a new filter; No ice maker; Promised blender was not given; towels, sheets, pillow cases were not in order and properly placed for us to access. Grill was not accessible. House was not setup with toilet paper access in each bathroom.

It was fantastic, I did not know that there were a curfew. Other than that it was fantastic.

Gary and Janiece were awesome host. The property was immaculate. Janiece and Gary was very responsive. Ms Beverly & Mr Mark took us to the market to shop. What an awesome experience. Ms Beverly’s cooking was on point. Mr Mark was the highlight of the trip from showing us the spots to get good food to guiding us through ways to get the best experience. He took us to go horseback riding on the beach with kids to a private massage to celebrate our 20th anniversary. He helped us with exchanging US to Jamaican dollars and where to get the best deals! If you are coming to Jamaica and you don’t want to be stuck on the resort but want to experience Jamaica this is the way to do it! Great team! I will be referring and thank you for operating with excellence.

On June 11, 2021 I visited Jamaica for my wedding, And with the help of some people it turned out to be wonderful. First of All I'll like to say Hats off to Mr. Gary Dixon for treating me like family, My stay was like home away from home. Margaret also(an employee for Mr. Dixon) was a sweetheart. I really can't complaint about anything, I also would like to thank Mr. Dixon for introducing me to "Plantation Smokehouse" even though it took me days to get over there Lol, But I finally made it and the food was fabulous. I plan on staying there again in the near future. Again I would like to say Thank you to(the entire crew) for making my 8 day adventure one to remember :)

We came to spend New Years . Gary the manager was great with us. We had Michael as a chef cooking for us, it was nice.

The internet was the only issue Didnt get any more than half the stay n when we did get it was super slow

This villa was amazing epically the landscaping, I was so in love with the landscaping OMG!!!!! The host were wonderful Mr.brown was funny, Ms.Walker was a wonderful chef blessing us with some amazing Jamaican food, Ms. Green was like a hip mom lol very wonderful set of people. And the owner was just wonderful from beginning to end. Making me feel comfortable and at ease with my vacation.. I will definitely be back because of you guys.... This villas is the place to stay I guarantee it

From our pick up at the airport to final send off, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Orville, the chartered driver picked up promptly from the airport and dropped us off at the property. Ms. Walker greeted us and showed us around the property. We are fairly independent guests that prefer our privacy, but Ms.Walker was totally accommodating on the days that we requested more help from her; even accompanying us on a trip to an open air market and showing us around Ocho Rios. She is very knowledgeable on the area and is able to come up with many great ideas for things to do if you're at a loss. She was amazing with our daughter who is only 7 months, and taught her songs and played with her. She is a very sweet lady, and made us feel at home very quickly. The pool is less than a 2 minute walk away, and is open 24 hours, but only staffed during the day. The community is beautifully landscaped, and our villa felt totally private. Security is 24/7, we felt very safe. Every room had a TV, there is WiFi, XBOX, Wii, a play structure 2 minutes walk away, hammock and hot tub; laundry facilities on site, open air gym, and much more that we didn't get a chance to use during our 10 day stay. There is also a grocery store, complete with pharmacy and liquor store, about 5 - 7 minute walk. We used it for mostly all of our meals and items we needed. There are many tourist attractions that are close to the villa, Dunn's River Falls, Mystic Mountain, Ocho Rios are all about 10 minutes away. If you're on a budget you might want to consider taking the bus to some of the destinations as chartering a taxi can get expense, and even experienced drivers probably would not want to rent a vehicle. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we hope to come back soon!

The property was just as it was described in the overview. It was clean and well maintained. Miss Green and Miss Walker made a good vacation great. Theses ladies were the diamonds in our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. In fact I look forward to a future visit. The meals prepared were excellent she was careful to season as we requested. Miss Green made us feel like family it was difficult to leave. We did not rent a car so we depended on Miss Green to arrange our transportation. This is the best decision we made for the vacation. Bram was the tour guide arranged to carry us our tour of Jamaica and I feel like we got to see everything with no filters. I loved his knowledge of everything Jamaica and his ability to anticipate the best places for us to visit based on conversations. The rental is beautiful but these three people are so outstanding that you can't help but have a great time regardless of any set backs during the trip. We went to Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios and the trips were customized for us if we wanted to spend time at an attraction we did but if the desire was to take pictures and keep it moving that was great too. If you have time to take the drive to Negril and spend a few ours on the beach then go to the bar to watch the sunset it is unforgettable. There are several resorts in and around St Ann's so if you feel like just relaxing at an all inclusive for a day buy a day pass for $75.00 or an evening pass if you prefer to see the shows and have a resort experience while there. We did that two days and we were glad to return to our private quarters at Mr Dixon home for the evening. We had a few issues with the power but Miss Green never left our side until it was corrected. Of courses it would have been perfect if the issue did not occur bur since life is not perfect it's how you handle the problems that show how good your customer service is. Miss Green exceeded all expectations with a smile. Bram loaned us a phone so we could reach someone in an emergency and that made us feel a lot more comfortable.

Great location! Easy access to gym, pool, grocery store, town, Dunn's River Falls etc. Excellent staff. Ms. Walker-Property manager/chef, and Ms. Green-housekeeper, did everything possible to accommodate our wishes. We had our grandson with us and he felt comfortable with them so much, that he still asks for them. Thank you for having such lovely ladies to serve us. We have already started telling others about your property.

Mr. Dixon's home was more than perfect for our family of four. Gary, the owner, was very easy to deal with and called us daily to make sure our vacation was splendid. The pictures and description of the home don't do it justice. We enjoyed having all of the comforts of home on our vacation. The property is immaculate and well cared. Location is close enough to Ocho Rios, but far enough to away to relax from the crowds. Having our own car was a must and Yardie helped us navigate. Driving in Jamaica is an adventure and not for the faint of heart. Joyce, property manager, did an impeccable job cleaning and her cooking was top-notch. If experiencing Jamaica at your own pace is your idea of a great vacation then this is your destination. We stayed for 8 days and wished we stayed longer. Highly Recommend Gary Dixon's home.

Very safe location in gated community that is manned 24/7. Nice house with open and modern design. The only small complaints were that hot water was not available if weather was overcast as heated with solar panel. The kids couldn't get the wii to work and the telephone was not working but we made due with our ipods and cell phones. The cook, cleaning lady and maintenance man (Yardy) were very helpful and pleasant. The cook made us authentic dishes when we decided to stay in for meals. Her cooking was as good or better than eating out. Yardy made us feel very safe while getting used to new surroundings. Our young son really loved the bananas that grew in the back. He ate a lot of them. The fitness center was right next to rental house and pool only a couple blocks away. Both were apprieciated when we decided to stick around and take it easy. We ended up with a great driver, Bram, and he toured us over much of the island during our 10 day visit. He was very knowledgable and outgoing. It probably cost 2times of renting our own car but felt much safer, saw many more places, never got lost once and no arguments with my wife. Rooms and beds in house very comfortable. 4 larger Tv's in house with many channels to keep us entertained at night. House was kept clean and would recommend this place to a friend.

This place was truly amazing..the picture on the website do this place no justice..Beautiful inside and out..Secure location and the pool is open 24 hrs..the owner is very nice and helpful..Stayed for 4 days and did not want to leave..its like home away from home..locaton is ideal..10-15 mins from ocho Ricos and 45 mins from montego bay..Love it..will defintely be staying there again.

All I can say is excellence and beauty! This home was better than I ever expected. The house staff was absolutely wonderful, helpful, and friendly. Honestly, we didn't want to leave. The community is great. Even if you have a teenager there are tons of kids on the property to make friends with. The amenities are spectacular in both the home and the community. We toured Jamaica and found nothing else like Gary's home. Already booking for the holidays.
