This unique apartment is very well appointed and a fantastic location to see Amsterdam. Francois was a great host. We appreciated the welcome beers and water! Had a great time.

Worked great for our family. The location was great and close to metro stops. One little note - the bedrooms and bathroom are all downstairs and they are good, well appointed, but light on privacy (curtains rather than doors separate the shower area and two bedrooms.

My family stayed at François' home end of March, early April. We are a family of six, with children ranging from 2 to 12. We are pleased to say the home itself is well represented by the photos. The home is unique, cozy, and beautifully decorated. François had a nice variety of snacks and drinks waiting for us. Because he knew we were traveling with children he also loaned us a futbol and gave us great tips on where the children could play and what nearby restaurants were kid friendly. This was warmly welcomed. The location was absolutely perfect. The home is located on a small, lovely side street that felt very safe. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, and my family walked to almost every attraction in the city, easily and with no complaints. In regards to the staircase, it is steep. Our two year old is proficient with stairs, so we felt comfortable, but I would be more weary with a crawler or new walker. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. My children told me this was their favorite location we've stayed at to date. We would recommend and hope to return again one day.

Great location, clean, friendly hosts. However, the steep and winding staircase should be noted in listing. Almost impossible to take suitcases down without having two people. We just left ours upstairs. Other than that, no complaints. It’s very quiet and not a far walk from most things.

3 best girlfriends visiting EU to celebrate 50th bdays. Booking process easy, photos accurate...the rental was very well appointed and unique, excellent location. Had a bit of trouble locating the lockbox/key and navigating very tight (but short) stair wells. Would recommend this property to a slightly younger (and more agile!) group. But overall was wonderful experience! Thank you!!

The apartment is in the BEST location…right in the center of everything! The decor is so stylish and the beds ULTRA comfortable. Francois, the host, was so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Fabulous place to stay and feel like a local living in style!

Our family of 4 loved this apartment when we saw the pictures and it was even better in person. Our host was helpful with check in process and when we arrived there were local treats on the counter and beverages in the refrigerator. That was such a pleasant touch. The location was excellent. We ate at some of the local restaurants including the bagel shop, the steakhouse and of course the carousel pancake restaurant. We would definitely stay in this apartment again and we are recommending it to our family members considering a trip to the beautiful city of Amsterdam.

We had a great stay! The location is wonderful- Close to De Pijp with many great restaurants. We walked everywhere, or jumped on the tram or Metro from the station about a block from the apartment. Fun bars, coffee shops and patisseries close by too. Our host was very helpful. Making restaurant suggestions and very quick to answer our questions. The apartment is big and comfortable - Nicely decorated and very clean. As another review mentioned - Knowing your housemates is helpful, there are curtains closing off the bedrooms and the bathroom is in the middle. The space, modern feel, and comfortable beds were a plus. Would stay again.

This is one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in. Perfect location, easy check in, hosts extremely responsive and helpful with suggestions for our stay. Clean, stocked with some snacks and drinks as well. Every detail was thought of by the hosts and makes for an absolutely fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

The space was great - cozy and modern. Francois gave clear directions to check in. The location is near some great sites, especially museums. There are plenty of local restaurants and supermarket within a very short walk. Near the De Pijp area, which is fun. Walls are thin so you can hear upstairs neighbors (and they can probably hear you), but it was very quiet at night, with no street noise. We loved our visit.

Our family of 5, including 3 young adult children, had a fantastic stay in Amsterdam. Suzanne was super friendly and gave us lots of tips of where to go for dinner, shopping etc. Apartment is very cool and in a great part of Amsterdam. Beds comfortable. Easy walking distance to loads of things. Love Amsterdam and this was perfect spot to soak it all up. We'll be back! Thank you.

Really neat organized and interesting house

We booked this property based on the location. It was beautiful. The only thing we missed was the swing in the pictures, it's no longer there. Property was clean and lovely to stay in. Communication was spot on. We would love to stay again.

This is the most creative short term rental we’ve ever stayed in and maximizes the space beautifully. I would only recommend the space for those very comfortable with each other since there is little privacy between sleeping areas and showering. This was not a problem with my wife and I traveling with our kids. The location can not be beat either! Extremely close to coffee shops, restaurants, the metro, and a bike rental shop. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay and Francois was so helpful with the check in process, food recommendations, and activities, luggage storage, etc. We would definitely go back for another stay!!

The perfect pairing of location and a beautiful apartment! Francois has thought of everything including comfortable beds, sofas and chairs to lounge in after a long day of sightseeing. Super nice quiet and well appointed apartment. Check in process was seamless, the apartment was as advertised and in a great neighborhood a few minutes walk to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Vondelpark. A street level apartment was also nice. Those who have stayed in Amsterdam apartments before know all about the narrow, winding and steep stairways!

The apartment was just perfect. It was so beautiful and fun to stay here. The property was clean and had everything one could need. The area is within walking distance of everything , yet the street is nice and quiet . If this unit is available, book it !!!

Our family had a quick 3 night get away. The apartment was in a perfect location. There were beautiful canal walks a few blocks away. Museums were a fifteen minute walk. Also close to plenty of restaurants, cafes, and public transportation. The apartments was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The apartment offered sone private doses for our family and at same time was bright and open. Our host was easy to contact and quick to respond.

We loved this clean and character filled apartment. Located within walking (and riding) distance of anywhere you need to go in Amsterdam, the house is quiet, cool and very well stocked for any stay. The neighborhood has a very local feel and out of throbbing tourist areas. Close to Rijks and VVG museums. The host Francois was super responsive and very willing to make sure everything was arranged. Strongly recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay in Amsterdam! The apartment is even more beautiful than the pictures in the listing. The walk-up main level is easy to access and the stairs to the beds and bath below are easy to navigate. The apartment had all of the kitchen essentials for us to cook breakfast each morning and Francois was gracious enough to make restaurant recommendations close by for dinner. The metro is a short walk across the street which made all travel in and out of the city easy. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Amsterdam!

Great location and beautiful place!

The flat is exactly as depicted and described. It is located on the ground/sub-ground floor of the owner's residence in a wonderful part of town with walkability and tram/metro access to anywhere you might want to go. The flat was clean and well stocked when we arrived. We found it to be extremely comfortable and accommodating for my husband, myself, and our young adult son. We especially enjoyed staying in a part of the city that felt more "residential" and away the larger hotels and touristy locations. We highly recommend this VRBO!
