I totally love this hotel. Check-in was terrific with such a nice receptionist! The room was big, very clean, great bed and great view! A small balcony but window is definitely close for security.
A free shuttle every hour drop you and pick close to the market (very central) and an amazing breakfast with an incredible view! Excellent value! I recommend at 300%!

We always have a wonderful visit every time we stay at Charleston Riverview. It’s convenient and we love the bar upstairs with that amazing view. Rooms are comfortable and linens are very good.

Intrigued with this building for many years and had the chance to explore because of a friend’s wedding and needing a place to stay. A bit bedraggled in finishes, but that adds to the charm, at least for me. Real people on staff who aim to please, Stunning view with decent food and great cocktails. I’ll be back.

This place was old and in desperate need of a remodel. Both beds had stained sheets,

The cleaning workers were very lazy. I made my own bed. All that was needed was towels, a mop, take the garbage and a wipe down. I had to go downstairs to the lobby and get towels and garbage bags from the customer service desk. The makeshift closet didn’t have any doors. The walls had cracks in it along with stains. The hotel pool had a ring around it, as if someone took a bath. Whom ever panted the pool and/or anything did not care about quality nor perfection. The customer service desk had get customer service.

This hotel is comparable to other hotels in its price category. The room was quite adequate, with a good, working AC and multiple types of pillows on the bed. Many rooms would have great views of the river/city, but mine looked into the pool equipment. The restaurant up top has a great view. The breakfast buffet, for $17, is only marginally better than what you get for free at other chain hotels. Actually my biggest issue here is the difficulty of departing in the morning. The hotel is essentially in the median of a freeway with a steady stream of high speed traffic whipping around a blind curve.

An older property but our room was nicely refurbished and had a great view of the river and the city. Very spacious, too. We especially appreciated the free hourly shuttle into historic Charleston. So nice not to have to deal with traffic, parking, and unfamiliar streets!

Very disappointed in my stay. I had $180 professional flat iron, plugged it in and it zapped my iron. I told a lady at the desk and all she cared about was that outlet. Never offered a compensation for my iron. I also should have checked about breakfast. It is not free. I did pay for buffet. Terrible. Cold. The kids were all open. Not worth the price.

The only thing I didn’t like was the mattress was to firm for either of us. Otherwise everything was great! Got a great restaurant suggestion from one of the staff. I didn’t get his name but the restaurant was fantastic!!!

One night stay for medical tests....bed and mattress very comfortable! Staff friendly and courteous. Shower took forever to heat up, Caulking and shower enclosure had brown stains, drain was dirty and stained as well. Breakfast upstairs was very good!

I'm a travel health care worker. So we had a 2 day stop on our way to our next location. The room was worn but clean. The view was beautiful. The shuttle was very convenient. The property is older & worn. The outdoor & common areas need to be cleaned up like window & maybe pressure wash main entrance. Over all it was a good stay

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall appearance and condition on the hotel was grimy. Everything looks and smells dirty. Our room had stains on the walls and the floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped in a very long time.

The room was beautiful. The bathroom needed some cosmetic repairs with the baseboards, etc.…
The shuttle service to and from the market in Charleston was phenomenal. It ran all day long by the hour.
The view from the restaurant on top of the hotel was amazing! The room was quiet as could be… I would highly recommend this place again!

I’m very disappointed in this hotel stay. The ceiling in the bedroom had black all over it. I’m guessing it was mold because we had horrible hives after staying here. This was a very disappointing stay.

We were at the hotel during a time when there was a Tornado spotted, high winds, and heavy rain preceding Tropical Storm Debby. We were in a Stay in Place Order.
The hotel kept Staff at the hotel to insure restaurant meals and room essentials. They helped move our cars to higher ground to avoid flooding areas. THANK YOU STAFF FOR YOUR DILIGENCE IN KEEPING US SAFE AND CARED FOR!!

Roaches in my room, property stinks, front desk staff are not trained properly, would not recommend. I checked out early and went to a different hotel across the street. Imagine waking up and seeing a roach next to your feet and you just gave a hotel $900. Goodbye.

They earned pts for 11th floor. Lost them because view of waffle house and across from ice machine. Noisy from road. Garbage truck came in early am. All towels had s stains on them. Hot water ran out. Curtains let in too much light. Shuttle was full. They rent out parking to others. Only liquid soap. Knob off dresser. Still it was ok. If you get a good view it is probably really nice.

We stayed three nights. The room was clean, but this hotel could really use some renovating/upgrading. The price did not include breakfast, but they had a nice restaurant on the 14th floor that served a very good breakfast buffet for $17.00.

My brother and I scheduled a last minute trip because our father was at MUSC and the location was perfect. It was a walk across the bridge.
We would have been shuttled back and forth because they do offer transportation,, but… the few days we stayed we were hit w hurricane Debby. The bridges and roads were shut down due to flooding… if we hadn’t stayed at the Inn, we would have not gotten to see him so we are more than grateful for that.
The STAFF. WOW. They were beyond AMAZING.
They set out buffets for all 3 meals due to shortage in staff but did not miss a beat! From start to finish we were doted on… anything we needed.
I wish I could have hugged each and ever one of them and thank them for all of their hard work and hospitality.
And Amanda, their general manager, was the star of the show!
If you get a chance to stay…. Book it.

The place is dirty. The first room, the sink was broken as was the phone and coffee maker. Moved to second room, the bathtub was broken. They bolted the balcony door shut so you can’t open it. I paid extra for a view. There is a four lane hwy on both sides. No view at all! Terrible place to stay.

Our room was too close to the next room on the 12th floor. 1205 & 1206 are so close I can hear the person entering their room. If we were leaving out the room at the same time, we would have to wait for the next person to leave first. The door would not open and had to go back down to the front desk and maintenance came up with us. The company compromised space to accommodate getting more rooms.

The floors were sticky like they hadn't been cleaned. The hotel was hard to get out of due to the exit puts you right in the middle of a raceway. It was late and we needed to stop so it served its purpose. The bed was huge and very comfortable though!

To start off, my wife has a disability. None of the elevators worked properly. Everyone in the building were forced to take one elevator or stairs. Random people had to help me take my wife in her wheel chair up the stairs. They put us on the 4th floor, why??? Then they lied and said it just broke down. The maintenance man said it had been months because they don’t have one piece to fix it.
Then we had roaches… we were told they couldn’t come clean our room. That they only do it after check out smh. The food was terrible. This was the one time me and my wife could get out and do something special since her stroke and we had a terrible experience.
