The staff was very friendly. My only complaint is my room didn’t have a fridge or microwave. That’s probably my fault for not checking close enough. Room was clean but the bed linens had a few old stains.

Nice place for the price

My best friend and I needed a place to crash for the night that was close to the UNA campus in Florence. I booked the room that afternoon and we arrived about five hours later that evening. I think the hotel was an older building undergoing a transition on the main floor; there were some nice parts and some unfinished parts. Our room was on the third floor, and it opened to a balcony overlooking the main floor, which wasn’t much of a view; sheetrock dust and partially finished walls on the balcony. The tub had a very slow drain, and the fitted sheet on my bed had a few hairs and a stain. There was a club off the main floor with thumping music going, but from our room it wasn’t too disturbing. Once the shower water completely drained, and I nestled in my bed opposite the side of the stain, I rested well. The staff was courteous at check in, at breakfast, and at check out. Breakfast was good; hot and fresh items. I believe once they have all the renovations completed, this will be a nice place to stay. It is close to lots of stores and restaurants in Muscle Shoals and Florence. And there is a great restaurant called Stanfield’s within walking distance.

This was a 5 day trip for funeral, check in was great. The second day there was no hot water took over 3 hours to get, then on 3rd day same thing no hot water, this time moved to another room only to have the same experience, no hot water, after 2 days of cold showers left on day 4.

Carpets were stained with what looked like blood.

The pictures do make it seem like a very nice looking hotel. The lobby is about the most impressive area of it all. The rooms are more Motel 8 quality. Room smelt very musky and we weren't near the pool. The pool is only 4ft to 6ft. No actual steps to walk down into like most pools have - only had 2 ladders and they were a bit unstable. How the pool is located is a bit odd. While the stay there and at pool it was swarming with wasps. Made it impossible to really swim. The breakfast provided was subpar in quality. Apparently corporate was visiting and a comment was made by a hotel staff member while visiting the breakfast and statement of they hoped we weren't corporate. (face plant moment).

Upon arrival, it looked very welcoming. But once we got to the room, it wasn't very clean. Floors were dirty, lamps had dust on them! It was very hot in there, couldn't get it any cooler in there! No matter if we turned it up or not! There were kids from some kind of ball tournament from all over the world there. That ate everything out of the vending machines! There wasn't any ice, because the kids got it all! Couldn't hear the TV, because they were screaming and running up and down the halls! Couldn't even go to the pool because of them! They left trash everywhere! And the TV didn't have any channels worth watching! And absolutely NO WiFi at all! Even though my tablet said I was connected to the hotel WiFi!! Couldn't do anything on it! So, would I stay there again absolutely NOT!!

The front desk clerks are always very accommodating.

Sadly this hotel is completely run down and it’s evident only gets its business for sports teams who are forced to stay here by the local fields. The rooms are ok and cleanliness is mediocre. The communal areas are terrible in appearance and cleanliness with no AC (appears to be broken as there are fans about the place). In summary you wouldn’t stay here out of choice.

we stayed at the hotel 4 nights... when taking a shower, there was no hot water... we reached to front desk and was told maintenance would address this... 3 night, still no hot water, so we took light cool showers... it's summer, so the water really is not cold... so we bared it... on the last day, we needs to take our showers in another hotel room within the hotel that did have hot water... through all this i asked for the manager, repeatedly... and still to today july 19th, no answer back to me... on another note... this hotel cost was to have breakfast in the morning, and friday july 12th, there was no breakfast put out... i asked the front desk staff and they just said, the lady did not come in... and there was no second plan... lastly... this was hot days in july in alabama... i went to the pool to swim, and as i was swimming, some hotel pool guy hollered at me and others to get out of the pool... and said he put a chemical in and we cannot swim... this is 1pm in the afternoon on friday... really... we cannot swim... i feel a substantial refund is in order here... what is next steps...

No hot water which translates into two days without a shower. Let that sink in. A toilet that ran every 12 minutes and kept my wife awake. Charles,who was great, moved us. The second room the toilet was fine but still no hot water. When I first tried to shower I stepped in and almost fell. The tub was slippery and no rubber mat to be found. The breakfast Sat morning was virtually non existent. No anything. Sunday was awesome. Staff was lovely but it seemed like they were over worked. The hotel also needs some sort of fly mitigation. Flies all over the place in the dining area.

Our room had and odor in it that smelled the entire weekend. Our water in the tub and sink had rust in it when we tried to take a shower and use the sink. On departure day, there was no hot water. Same day saw few bugs on the floor in bathroom. We will not stay there again. Positive note: Shawn in Fizz bar was Excellent at taking care of everyone in our party of 30 people.

No breakfast first day. Rooms, outside and pool were very much in need of updating. Night clerk hid. Pool was over chemicaled and closed, even after I called to confirm it was open. Needed repairs all around. Property needed grooming around the back parking. Air conditioner in room was not working good at all.

Just stopped through on a family vacation about half way to our destination. Decided to stay here because pictures made it look clean and the price was good. This hotel was dirty and smelly. Staff was not all that helpful even with something as simple as extra towels. Breakfast was ok until we realized there were lots of flies.

Moldy, no sprinkler system, electric sockets did not work, only one electrical connection worked, toilet seat too low, however, comfortably bed and good food.

There was no AC in the meeting room where a Birthday party that I attended was held. We were giving multiple excuses of why there wasn’t any AC in that area of the hotel. However, the AC was blasting in the restaurant in the front of the hotel. I was given a room initially that smelled of mildew. I was given another room, which was adequate for my one night stay. I will never recommend this hotel or attend another event there.

Found a roach in bathroom. Overall the hotel is old, lobby is very hot no AC going. Not the best at all.

We arrived at the hotel early Saturday morning (myself, husband, and 8 yr old son), however, we were told by the front desk that it was too early to check in but, we could leave our bags in the office, if needed. We declined to leave our bags and headed back out. But before leaving, my husband notified the front desk attendant that we were in town for a baseball tournament and would return later to check in sometime after 4PM. Upon returning to the hotel, we were told by the very same front desk attendant that the room with double beds ,which we prepaid, was not longer available, however, we could be placed in a king room which is problematic when you have 3 people in your party. The front desk staff was extremely unorganized, understaffed and very unfriendly. One of the staff members even proceeded to argue back and forth with myself and my husband threatening to call the police on us and also telling us if we weren't happy, we could take our business elsewhere. Ultimately, we ended up in a first floor room that we extremely dated, dingy, and in my opinion not very safe as it had two entrances, one at the back and the front of the room, and one entrance led right out into the parking lot from the first floor which I think is unsafe for a child. The breakfast also wasn't good. I was very unhappy with both the staff and the room at this hotel. It was a horrible experience especially after spending all day in the hot sun and just wanting to relax and take a hot shower.

The staff is really nice. It was clean really enjoyed the stay.
