older hotel looks like it was going through remodel

The bathtub had rust all over and an additional hole, front desk seem to be surprised…of course they change my room by would not give this hotel 1 star

SO COMPLETELY DISGUSTING that I had to file a complaint with the Flordia DBPR. I recommend that other do the same. Here are the findings of the resulting inspection from the Flordia DBPR. Additionally I see that their lisence is inactive and Id like to note that we had to leave the hotel and find a diffrent place to stay as it was so unsanitary. They also refused to refund me which I had to deal with by other means. Violation Observation 17-07-5 Basic - Mattress/box spring of the bed is soiled/stained. Stained mattress room 108. **Repeat Violation** 17-03-5 Basic - Pillowcase/pillow for the bed is soiled/stained. Stained pillow room 108 and 203. 17-02-5 Basic - Sheet(s) on the bed are soiled/stained. Hair on sheets in room 108 and 203. **Repeat Violation** 24-20-4 High Priority - Dead roaches present. 1 dead roach on floor in room 203. Operator cleaned and sanitized at time of inspection. **Corrected On-Site** 22-17-4 High Priority - Ice chute soiled with mold-like substance/slime/dry debris. First floor ice machine. 38-17-2 High Priority - License from the Division of Hotels and Restaurants expired. **Admin Complaint**

Worst hotel visit I’ve ever had! The bed was horrible, it was dented in the middle so we kept rolling to the middle. My body was so sore when I was rudely woken up by construction or repair work before 9am with no notice. The jolt awake when they started drilling was really bad, heart pounding. Pool closes at 8, refrigerator doesn’t work at all, tv was so small the sound was muffled you couldn’t understand anything. But hey, if you like sleeping in a freezer the air conditioner was fantastic.

Staff very responsive and pleasant

Very dirty place. Mattress on sofa bed was soiled. Toilet didn't work. Had to change rooms.

A little bit dated but everything was clean.

First of all they required an extra 100.00 deposit on top of the overpriced, outdated property, the bathroom was outdated, no jacks to plug in phones, the toilet ran, all night, then stopped filling so we couldn’t flush it, my daughter’s room smelled like urine, covers on bed were mildewed, we both saw roaches crawling. On top of that when we complained the front desk clerk, acted so unbothered.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, very clean, safe and quiet.

We had a flood in our room. No staff available to clean. Took two hours to attend to flooding of the entire room. We had we suitcases. Etc. should have been at least some compensation.

The room was nice and clean it the staff was amazing and over a great experience the room was clean so was the bathroom other than some scuff marks and normal wear and Tate everything was amazing so was the breakfast their options were amazing and fresh me and my family enjoyed our stay.

The front desk lady was rude and not friendly, the bathroom smelled like pee and had a cockroach, the shower water was yellow so I had to let it run for a few minutes for it to clear up, there is breakfast included but there weren’t even scrambled eggs, and there were pieces of hair on my bed sheets. Overall a very bad experience.

The chair was by the door to the room. There was a wet ring on the nightstand where something wet had been sitting not the cleanest

Old , dirty, weak breakfast, notting clean in the room.

It was to be an overnight stay but we left same day. As soon as we entered the room, it smelled sooo musty and felt very damp. The edges around the bathtub were rotted. The beds were made properly but the musty smell got us all. Also, I asked for a cup of tea and although they they had a kitchen for breakfast, I asked around 4:00 p.m. and they had no teabags - no hot water and I was told to get water and put it in the microwave and they would find me a teabag. They were nice and pleasant people but the stay was not that great.

Stinks

This place doesn’t deserve not even a star, when my sister uncover the bedsheet there was a ROACH ON THE BED!!! The bathroom tub looked filthy and there was also a hair, and the inside of the toilet is all peeled. The room also smelled like mold, this was my first time ever experiencing this at a hotel and the saddest part is that we had to stay the night because it was late and we didn’t have a place to stay.

The first room smelled so bad that we couldn't even walk in it. The doors do not open and close properly. The room was dirty. We checked out after the first horrible night. The hotel told me i had that hotels.com was the only one the could issue a refund but hotels.com says it is the hotel. Do not stay here.

Pretty basic but great value compared to nearby alternatives. Clean room, good location near highways, shopping and dining.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate for my needs. Wanted to be in Brandon to avoid traffic. Pleasant stay. Had a hiccup but it wasn’t hotels fault.

The service was nice, and the staff were super friendly, but the hotel was dated and a little unclean. Found hair and roaches in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, but a little stained.

This hotel has a serious maintenance problem.
