Would stay again. Great room for the money. Breakfast sounded good but was I think reheated from the previous day, so it wasn't great.

This was a great place to stay! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower was phenomenal. The updates are wonderful and we will definitely stay again.

This was our second stay this year while traveling to Boise. It is just such a nice place, great staff, all very helpful and extremely courteous and kind. The King Bed was great and the room very clean and neat! Love the little welcome package that they give you too! Already looking forward to our next stay.

This was a return to the old style motels, updated and remodeled very nicely, with access to you vehicle 20 feet away from your door (we loved this). The front reception staff were very nice, the lobby was interesting, and the free breakfast was delicious! Location was within walking distance (about 1/2 mile) of the strip of restaurants & bars. We would definitely recommend this motel!

Our stay is always spot on at the Modern. We will always stay here as long as they will have us! Our only, and very very small, issue was the shower wand did not work but the main shower head did. Otherwise? Perfection.

The Modern Hotel was a fantastic find! Great value for the price, with some awesome perks. The free breakfast was a highlight, with custom options like parfaits or frittatas made fresh on the spot, along with house coffee. They also offer free bikes for guests, which made exploring the area a breeze. The rooms were nice and comfortable, making it a perfect stay. Highly recommend!

I was here for business and the employer booked my stay.
Pros: close to down town, clean, breakfast included.
Cons: the price was high for a very basic accommodation, the vibe was very exmotel 6, very limited lighting options in the room, carpet was very much past its prime.
The staff were polite and I can see that it’s a small business so I’m happy to support small business, I just didn’t feel like the price of the accommodation matched.

I have no idea why the reviews are so good. I booked a suite and this is like a converted motel 6. Doors open to the public. Building is ugly. The rooms are like Home Depot DIY. My room smelled like smoke. AC was window units. Breakfast is a couple of frozen things they heat up in the microwave. 2 star place at best.

Everything was perfect and we truly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious and delightful. We had drinks at the bar and they were awesome too. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Love the diversity acceptance and open safe place for everyone to enjoy.

This was such a fun property with easy access to all of downtown Boise. We were a bit worried when we saw road construction outside the hotel, but it was quiet throughout our stay and did not impact anything we did. Modern Hotel has bike borrowing for up to 4 hours and we took advantage of that every day we were there. It was fun to bike all around Boise. The staff was super friendly and helpful and their coffee and morning breakfast aimed to please- and did.

Room was great, loved the decor of the main room and bathroom. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Great location-close to shops and restaurants. We had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. Our only gripe is that there was some stubble in the bathroom sink from the previous guest when we arrived. Would still rebook here and recommend to others.

Fun place. Love the upscaled retro motel that feels like a modern hotel. They really made an effort here and it paid off. The restaurant and cocktail bar was fine but it was great to have it right on site on the courtyard. We would stay here again.
