When we reached the hotel there was no power, and the rude lady on the reception failed to accommodate us. I understand computers were down but we had multiple kids including one year old. After check-in, found one of the rooms was not clean. Substitute room was given but at that point already lost half of our day. Request to Hilton: please use separate dishes for vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Should be common sense. Not happy!

Check-in was easy and efficient. Front dsk people were helpful and pleasant throughout my stay. When i first walked into my room i sensed an attention to detail and overall cleanliness. The bathroom was modern, fixtures worked well, and the bath linens were neatly folded and the bath amenities were neatly placed. The breakfast food varied each day, and the selections were certainly adequate for me. The entire dining area was kept clean and neat. The only unpleasant thing I can think of is the litter around the building and in the parking lot. Why guests feel it is somehow ok to use the outdoors as a trash can is beyond me. The staff work hard to present a positive experience for the guests, but the litter is not a great welcome statement. My recommendation would be to have someone do a walk around the building, paring lots, driveway, and grassy areas morning, afternoon, and evening to do "litter patrol." If it's done routinely it can be kept under control.

We love staying at the Hampton Inn, we are never disappointed! Friendly front desk staff, cleans rooms, comfy beds and breakfast! What more can you ask for!

I had an amazing stay! Very disappointed in my room! There was no shampoo or conditioner. Small roll of toilet paper. The fire detector was off the wall. Asked staff to fix it and they told me they would get to it. The blankets had yellow stains on them. But we made the best of it. The front staff Friday around 730! Were amazing and so much help and welcoming!!

Good staffing

The only thing that was good was the breakfast. Other than that, the mattress was really uncomfortable, the controller for the ac was not working properly, and they didn’t have enough necessities. The microwave and the tv were not plugged in. I was really upset with the services I was provided for the days I stayed.

Easy check in. Pool was pretty gross, and though it was open, really didn’t feel good about swimming in it. Staff member at breakfast on aug 24-25 was helpful in determining ingredients so that my kid with an allergy could have breakfast. Beds were comfortable.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was nice. Slept great

Our room had cobwebs on the upper part of the window, had some exposed wires hanging under the AC, had loose floating shelving in the washroom. The pool water also had an odd scent to it. The breakfast buffet area was fine and the person serving and cleaning the breakfast area was very nice. The staff behind the desk during check out though seemed very disinterested & bothered when I tried sharing the above feedback to ensure I was not going to be blamed for those items in my room and thus not receive my deposit back. Not sure if I would return.

Our child is an incoming freshman at RIT and this is our third stay at this location this past year as we visited the campus and met with people. This location has comfortable beds, is clean, has a good breakfast and great staff. Since we live far from Rochester, this will continue to be the place we stay.

The hotel itself is great. Clean, nicely decorated, very good breakfast. Only thing is it is there for sleeping and technically we did not get to do much of that. Not really the hotel's fault but it kinda ruined our trip nonetheless. The first night in the middle of the night the power went out and when it went back on everything beeped and made noises and woke us up. The second night was even worse. At around midnight my kids noticed water dripping in through the ceiling. They had to move rooms and then I did as well (we had 2 rooms adjoining). The unit above went out not realizing their toilet was overflowing. Moving rooms (no longer adjoining) was quite a chore and then calming down and going to sleep was difficult to say the least. I had to drive home the next morning and much coffee was needed as I was exhausted. Other than moving us, the hotel said nothing which was also disappointing.

Hotel had no vending machines at all a very large deposit wasn't a very nice stay we went to cheap hotel next door to use the vending machines

The front desk staff at check in was rude and had a strong smell of marijuana. At check out had the same person. Room was just okay, peeling paint on the walls and the waste basket in the room had trash in it.

We are a family of 5. We called Expedia before booking and they said if you want a roll-away bed you should call the hotel (we confirmed in our booking with Expedia before booking); you cannot call the hotel, only the booking Center. The booking centre said you have to confirm with the front desk at the hotel. Front desk at the hotel said “we don’t have any”….so my son had to sleep on a bunch of blankets on the floor. Not good at all!

All went well! Good facilities and pool is open 6 am to 10 pm.

It's clean, room are spacy, the pool water has a questionable color and very hot .. it feels like a jacuzzi. breakfast is good, nice sitting area in the lobby ... 2 TV's, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate 24/7 .... I like this hotel ..

It's safe and quiet.

Front desk staff very unprofessional. Check in on Friday and expected our room to be cleaned, beds made and fresh towels on Saturday morning and was told that rooms are done every other day. Carpet in the room had a very strong pee smell. Wifi was not free even though it was supposed to be. Just a not so good experience.

Shady people outside in the parking lot at night. They did not appear to be guests. They kept going in and out of a path by the hotel and then sitting in a car.

A very dirty room on the first floor. Carpet was ver old and a heavy "Musky" scent. The carpet was very sticky so walked aroubd in socks. The smell caused my wife to have headaches. We should have checked out, but was already settled in. We ended up purchasing a large bottle of Febreeze which masked the smell. Breakast was so-so. Mattress on bed sagged in the middle indicating it was old. Giving it two stars may be generous. We will look elsewhere when we come back to the Rochester area The hotel was convenient for what we had to do.

The front desk person hardly spoke to me and was so quiet. Our room was clean but the shade was cracked and let in light when we were trying to sleep. The bed sheets didnt fit and kept coming off while we were sleeping. The bed was supposed to be a king but was probably a queen...too small...the bed was uncomfortable, lumpy, too bouncy, and uncomfortable. We will be xoming back throigh in a few days and will hopefulyl not stay there again....

Check in was quick. Hotel was quiet. Room had an unpleasant odour, had to turn off the A:C. No other rooms available. Bathroom door would not close. We were here for two days and no one serviced the room. Manager was to contact us but was never available. Breakfast was a joke.

It was goos

Late check-in i literally had to wait until 4pmto check in but check-in time is at 3pm not to mention they were knocking at my door at 1050am to get out breakfast was suppose to be at 6am they didn’t get done getting everything together until 620 am

The location worked for us as it wasn’t too far to where we need to go. It had some good places to eat that were at a good distance. We were disappointed with our room as it had strange door, part of the carpet that was stapled to the wall was falling off, the toilet lever to flush the toilet was loose, drinks were left in the fridge which made us question if the room was even cleaned. For the breakfast, we enjoyed the variety of waffles with having 2 flavours, but wish there was more options for eggs. The facilities did not seem maintained. The pool water did not look clean and in the gym, there were towels left lying around, no wipes to wipe down on one side of the gym that there were sweat marks on the bench. Also, not ideal to have 2 gym rooms
