Wonderful stay, comfortable beds lovely food, staff ver helpful

As a person who lives out of hotels , I expect the basics, and thi one failed on my first and last visit. Th priority of ther hotel seems to be the events and notthe overnight guests, Could not get a table to eat as the restraunt on site was too busy on the first night, afer being told i need to book . .... before I arrive. I must say with 5 people and multiple empty tables I found this unnaceptable, it sems understaffing was the issue, afer being told to book in again in hour, 2 hours later was informed at 9:30 chef was finished, thats was the final straw , Fawlty Towers springs to mind. On a positive my following nights were considerably better, but i believe this was to avoid a poor review. Rooms clean and comfortable. Onsite Spa, generally clean, Hot tub full foaming scum not removed reguralarly, needs attention to detail. While Im not part of a large coach group, the individual guests matter.

Hotel room was clean, spacious and of a good standard. Spa was well equipped although changing rooms were not very clean and the jacuzzi water was dirty

Great stay

Arrived and on nearing the entrance to our room two take away boxes of pizza and some other smelly foods greeted us outside our room. In entering the room and using the toilet we found the toilet to be broken. We immediately notified reception who said someone would be there to fix it and to remove the smelly take away boxes and left overs from the night before we assume. We went to the spa for a swim to return and nobody had been. On leaving for our evening meal away from the hotel I asked again at reception for someone to fix the toilet and remove the rubbish. We returned from our meal to find the boxes and left overs still there and the toilet broken making a noise that woke us up through the night. They simply didn’t care! At breakfast trying to cut into our food we found the knives were so worn there were no teeth left to cut into the food so struggling to cut things up. Honestly very frustrating and we had given up on telling anyone. Receptionist took £50 off but still had to pay a huge amount for a mediocre room and low standards. Location was good that’s all I can say.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Despite having trouble contacting the hotel before arriving (phone lines ringing with no answer multiple times), we loved our stay and spa experience. We booked the espa facials which were amazing and the staff in the spa were all very helpful and friendly. The treatment rooms could do with a slight refurbishments as some of the lights were broken etc. The breakfast options were great and food tasted hot and fresh. Room was spacious and comfortable with a great shower and extras like hairdryer etc, it was a little cold at night so definitely bring some warm pyjamas. We will definitely stay again!

Fabulous hotel very close to the centre of Winchester. This is a great location for exploring Winchester and surrounding areas. An easy walk to the city centre shops and restaurants. Loved the decor and ambiance of the hotel. Staff super friendly. There is parking on site but it is limited and paid for. Public parking is available in front of the hotel. We didn’t have time to use the spa sadly but overall really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
