Good service but window did not shut completely in room and it looked like Temperature control did not work either. Also coffee maker did not work. But there was a kettle and that worked fine. Room was clean as expected. Also this is the second time I have stayed here and the bar ran out of slimline tonic both times!

Value for money with car parking fee included, rooms are on the small size, breakfast was excellent

Decent place to stay. Breakfast was really good except the coffee from the machines is terrible. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was good for beach and gunwharf. Would stay again.

Furniture was well worn, food was dreadful, reserved parking meant you could park on the street and then they try to overcharge me by 25%. Strangely I won’t be staying again.

Bed v comfy. But had booked because of the jacuzzi and this was out of service. Also the tv only had 6 channels programmed and the service on these was spotty too

Would have been 10:10 if the bar had go. Diet Pepsi or Pepsi zero or lime juice in stock Sea view room had view of the sea unlike some hotels I have stayed in

Easy check in, parking on site or a permit on the road for £5 either way. Very spacious and clean room, good breakfast. Ideal for a short stopover in Portsmouth.

Have stayed here a few times. Good reasonably quiet hotel. Room very satisfactory. Dining room good but menu could do with updating. Breakfast. No overall impressed. Eggs dry and left to sit too long. Tables need clearing more often. (Retired caterer)

Close proximity to tourist sights.The car parking was noisy at night and kept us awke.

Convenient hotel, a very pleasant stay with family. Hotel situated on a main road so expect traffic noise. Small car park, so arrive early if you need a space Arrive early for breakfast as it does get busy.

The room was clean. It had a weird smell though and was small, as was the bathroom. My TV was not working. I booked this hotel for the parking and jacuzzi. The parking was hard to find. There were no spaces so I had to create one next to the linen 'bins'. The jacuzzi was out of order. Definitely felt more like a 3* star hotel. Premier Inn rooms are bigger. Staff were friendly though.

Overly large hotel. Poor greeting at reception....not one smile. Restaurant staff were much friendlier. Everything else was adequate but i expected better.

Our room was lovely - clean and very spacious. The tea/coffee facilities were well stocked. Bathroom was small but clean. No complaints from us at all. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, some amazing staff at check in and the bar/breakfast but the whole hotel needs some tlc….toilet roll holder hanging off wall, sink barely draining, a bit tired around the edges

I think the staff do s great job but could use a few more as they were quite stretched. The price was very high, we paid 300 for 3 nights last year, this time it was 850 for the same 3 nights.

Having stayed here numerous times over very long period..infact over 25 years ...i have seen this hotel dwindle away ...Always slept well but on this occasion it was like sleeping on the foor ..infact it was so uncomfortable by 4.30 it was actually causing pain ...By 6 i was delirious with no sleep at all ..got new room by 6.20 ..went to bed ..with the reason icame having ti be cancelled ...Tne manager who dealt with it done it quickly and wirh a smile..i hope the rest of the reception take note as they were not at all professional making me feel i was the problem !!..

Had a good stay at the Holiday Inn in Southsea. Well located for old Portsmouth and walks along the front. The room was spacious and very adequate. Bathroom a bit small. The breakfast buffet was excellent value and the staff very friendly. Ideally situated for the Victorious festival.

Stayed after ferry trip for one night with family and dog. Easy to find. Car park was full but plenty of on street options directly outside. Great service and good location to explore. Breakfast was impressive for the price and appreciated the free child breakfast. Would stay agsin

We had booked a premium room but you could not swing a cat in the bathroom, could not enter and close the door, far too small for comfort. The worst part was the bed. Barely a double bed for two people. If you got to the edge you literally rolled out of bed as the mattress gave way. The air con was not working at all, but we had a fan. We had some complementary drinks in the fridge, nice touch, but they only give you one bottle of water for two people. I asked in reception if that was normal and they said YES! No offer to give us one more on a hottest day of the year. Dinner was included and the food was lovely but service was extremely slow and other customers left angry. The dinner service staff seemed very inexperienced, they were constantly gone from the restaurant but they didn't seem to be doing much to account fro their absence. Jacuzzi wasn't working, pool used by locals was crowded and people did not respect the no phones policy. Hotel greatly located to the hover craft service to Isle of Wight, reasonable parking fee of £5 but there is a lot they need to get right and beds are most important and we didn't get much sleep. Room and bed are fine for ONE person not two.

Superbly situated Hotel for seafront and friendly staff who try and go the extra mile. Overall good value for money even in peak season.

Never ever again. The highlight of this stay was, that after our stay we got a bill for a traffic violation due to parking on the premises. They simply ignored the fact that we registered the vehicle at check in and that we payed the parking fee with the room fee.
