Booked and was confirmed as a classic queen room in main inn. Forced to take a double queen in annex

I’d stay here for the convenience factor as it’s in the middle of town. Nothing happens after 7pm in this town so eat before heading back to hotel.. Nice bar. Bartender Jim was great. Restaurant on site. You’ll need it as really the town is surprisingly small with limited hours of different establishments. 4:00 pm cookies and brownies with tea that was complimentary. I think the property has different buildings so be aware of the room you book. No issues. Nice staff. Room was dated but spotless. The cute coffee, breakfast, and lunch place next door ( adjacent to coffee shop) stole the show with pleasant food and staff. Starbucks and another coffee shop close by. Visit the visitors center for activities. My favorite was the moss glen waterfall. You will need a car to explore adjacent scenic activities. Unless you’re skiing, you might feel isolated at other nearby hotels.

Great getaway. High end room. Great location for Stowe. Parking was included. Great firepit for enjoying some outdoor time.

A perfect stay! Our room was so beautiful and romantic. One of our favorite hotels we’ve ever stayed at.

We stayed at the hotel as we had got married there in 1997. The staff were wonderful and made us very welcome, leaving a bottle of wine in our room to help us celebrate. The room was lovely with a four poster bed and jacuzzi, and there are plenty of eating options in the vicinity of the hotel. The swimming pool was very clean and as were the other facilities.

We really liked Stowe however our room at the Green Mountain Inn was in dire need of refurbishment. The toilet seat was battered and had chunks missing, and was clearly very old and smelt as such. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls in both the bathroom and main room. The bed nor the pillows were very comfortable and due to poor sound proofing (acknowledging that it's an old building) we were kept up by people talking in other rooms. The room was quiet small so the smell from the old toilet really filled it, and overall was quite unpleasant. One of the bathrobes in the closet was covered in what looked to be dust and dirt, which was very odd. I don't know if we just had a bad room or if this is what others are like. We know other people who have stayed here and they didn't have exactly the same experience. Location was great and were really liked that. We only stayed for one night which was more than enough though, if we had stayed more than one night I'd have been even more disappointed by the room. The staff were ok, however didn't bother to ask us how our stay was when we checked out. The pool area was a highlight with a fire pit.

Really enjoyed our stay in Stowe. Lovely setting in downtown. The Whop Restaurant was delicious and in our Inn. Enjoyed the fire pit and pool area.
