Perfect in every detail!

Hotel is a bit dated and the extra bed for children is awfully uncomfortable. Breakfast was decent and staff polite. Front desk lady Madeleine was super nice and super efficient at resolving the extra bed issue, so it made the other niggles disappear.

A very pleasant hotel at a perfect and quiet location, probably the best place to stay in the area. Small oddities like the need to explicitly request bathrobe and slippers were quickly addressed by the staff. The need to bring the own bathroom towels to the spa / pool / fitness area was not welcome on our side. The A/C was not up to the task on a hot day, but is probably adequate most of the year. On the food side a nice breakfast buffet secured a good start into the day and dinner was good too.

The Schlosshotel Bad, Wilhelmshöhe is a wonderful hotel. It is situated in a beautiful park. The room was large and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We stayed there as we were in Kassel for a family wedding and I think we were the only British people there, but we were treated very well. I would recommend this hotel.

I left my luggage for storage after check-out. Upon coming back I see it standing freely next to a counter a few steps from the sliding doors that lead outside. I could not only see my luggage but a bag from another guest, from outside the entrance. I took my stuff and left. Then, since noone stopped me or took notice I went back inside to complain. I was met with complete indifference, altough anyone could have stolen our luggage and the bag of another hotel guest. I have never witnessed anything like that in my visits to hundreds of hotels. For me this is an absolute deal breaker.

Short but comfortable stay. This hotel has a great location and makes it easy to enjoy the castle on the hill and go to the Hercules statue. Wish we had more time to enjoy it.

The location of this hotel is fabulous! Right next door to the park and famous waterfalls! The meal we ate at the restaurant was also very pleasant and breakfast was exceptionally good.My only observation was that the ladies at reception during check in could have been a little happier to see us (one in particular). Instead there was no smile and she let me translate everything. It just seemed a little frosty, no mention of the check out time or where breakfast is of parking fees, but the gentlemen during checkout were quite the opposite and were much happier.

enjoyed the visit but saturday is an extremely busy day there and they do not manage to give a good service. the restaurant took one hour to serve dinner and food was not well cooked. disappointing.

The main attraction of the Schlosshotel is its location in the beautiful Bergpark Wilhelmshoehe. The largest of its kind, the park contains a castle, aqueduct, waterfalls, a fortress, a massive statue of Herkules and jogging trails. Breakfast at the hotel was extensive, with fresh breads, yogurt, customized eggs, bacon, smoked salmon, and fresh fruit. The menu items were very good, from the signature salad (generous size with choice of shrimp, turkey or other toppings), to local specialties such as "weckewerk". Customer service at the Schlosshotel was poor. Staff were unhelpful; inquiries were treated as bothersome. Housekeeping was disruptive, needing frequent access to the room (four times on one day - twice for cleaning, once to check the non-existent mini bar and once to check the outlets). The soap ran out, and was not refilled until we complained two days later. Staff once failed to lock the door upon leaving. Hotel parking, for nine nights on the outskirts of the city, inexplicably cost 60 Euros. The elevator closest to our room was out of service for the duration of our stay and the mattresses in the room felt like sleeping in a hammock. On the whole, quality of food and proximity to the Bergpark were not enough to make up for terrible housekeeping, expensive parking and uncomfortable beds. In future I will simply stop by the hotel for a meal - parking is free if you dine at the hotel, but not if you are a paying guest (even when dining daily).
