Staff was all nice except for the security guard who greeted us on the evening of October 19 around 9 pm. He was rude maybe having a bad day but I work in hospitality and his greeting was lousy.

I called to ask about my reservation and was told my stay was cancelled. On a cruise ship during the hurricane and our cruise was extended due to unsafe travel conditions. I called to ask about my reservation, the lady was rude and said they didn't reopen until Wednesday. when I asked again about my reservation, she didn't respond, so I asked twice thinking she couldn't hear me. She responded "I said we don't reopen until Wednesday!" I told her thank you for your rude customer service, I hope you have a great day. SO RUDE and very unprofessional. So I didnt' get to stay and can't offer any other details for this review! Not happy, no notification of the cancellation and I haven't been refunded yet!

I was a little skeptical when I pulled up to the property. It's definitely older and doesn't look amazing from the outside. Because the hallway I was on was completely open on one end, it seemed damp and had a weird smell. But the interior of the room was fantastic. Completely redone. I was shocked how different it looked compared to the outside. Beautiful floors, nice kitchen and comfy beds. The pool and deck area was nice. Tiki bar had good food and the bartenders were great! A little bit surprised that it closed at 10pm even on the weekend, but not an issue. The view of the sunset from the room balcony was incredible. I definitely stay here again.

The elevator is extremely hot and slow. Young man at check in was nice. Room was dirty and had an odor. We had to buy air freshener. All furniture was dated and very uncomfortable and had an odor as well. The bed was so uncomfortable we didn’t get much sleep. There was food crumbs behind the bathroom door. Dirt throughout the rooms. I bought cleaning supplies
And cleaned myself. Not a fan of having to go to the office to get towels and wash clothes everyday because we were told housekeeping doesn’t come until you check out. This place has definitely went down since the last time we stayed there. In desperate need of updates. One night had to call front desk for security because people were yelling and fighting down the hall. The balcony and view was probably the best thing there.

I was honestly very disappointed the room it is very outdated and as someone that frequents the Godfrey this was supposed to be an upgrade and it was not at all. The furniture is scuffed and old the carpet is definitely ready to be replaced with something new tile wood anything but not that. Definitely not what i expected

I think the stay would have been better if they actually came by to clean the room at least one of the days we stayed, and if there wasn’t dust and ants all over the bedding it would probably has been fine. I understand bugs and it being Florida we dealt with it. On Wednesday I asked for the room to be cleaned and new bedding and more towels even requested a broom so I could sweep and clean myself by Friday still nothing I called down and was told well they only clean on certain days and Thursday was one of the days. Well they never even came to our room Thursday plus we had ants and a ton of dust everywhere the reason we requested new bedding. I ended up purchasing a broom which needed to be left behind because it didn’t fit in our luggage. With this being our first time in florida and staying at this place I would have expected it to be a tad bit better.

Our room smelled like smoke, which was unfortunate and the area had some cleanliness issues. But the pool was amazing, the bar on site was great and they even had great live music friday night. Beautiful location. Honestly if they could fix the smoke smell in the room it would have been perfect.

The view is amazing! Great access to pool and other areas. Only thing is the customer service needs improvement. They don’t follow through when asked things even though they say they wooo take care of it - they don’t. It happened several times during our stay.

We have stayed here multiple times. The room we had this time was by far the most updated. Some rooms are not as much as this room. The only negative is that we left a day early for personal reasons. We gave more than 24 hours notice but they would not reimburse the one night because we had booked through Expedia. Apparently if we had booked directions through them the would have.

The property was amazing honestly. All needs were met and it was very clean and quiet. Definitely would plan to stay here again.

The property overall was alright, the first night stay,we had a cockroach in our bedroom which had me on edge for the rest of my stay. I knew the property was alitte out dated but I was expecting that. We also had bayside bedrooms which wasn’t that bad. The hotel is Farley close to a lot of nice restaurants,which is nice ,but I’ll pay extra to stay somewhere else next time. I’ll be glad to send pictures of the the roach as well if you don’t believe me.

Furniture needs updating. TV was new in bedroom and not setup and could not watch. Called front desk and was told to talk to manager in morning as there was not anyone to fix it when I called. Roach on wall in bedroom and chased it around for 20min. Manager was “on a call” when I checked out and wanted to discuss issues and was suppose to call me and never did. This was my birthday night away from home to relax and it sucked.

Wow wow wow! First time in Florida and in Tampa, choosing this spot the area it’s in is amazing! Everyone here is so welcoming, the rooms are amazing the views oh man the views loved it!

The room had broken tiles going into the bathroom. The bedspread on my bed was dirty on the end of it. The towels were rough. The lamps were not wiped off around the base.
