The jets in the hot tub didnt work properly but overall the facility was great.

Staff went out of their way to get us nice views, there is easy walking to the nearby stores, parks, and Capitol, and there’s a huge gym.

We chose this hotel for the affordability, amenities, proximity to Water Country & beaches, and lack of consistently negative reviews (lol). We had an excellent time--service was excellent, the building and our room was clean, the pool area was well-maintained with towels/chairs/shower, and we especially enjoyed the free breakfast. So nice to have a hot meal and the kids loved making the mini waffles. And the ice machine was working and located in the laundry room, both of which are convenient to have on our floor. We would definitely stay here again despite a few minor aspects: (1) the hotel itself was a little hard to find as it is tucked away behind a Home Depot next to deserted/closed department stores (Christmas Store, Bed Bath & Beyond); (2) the hot tub tiles/grout were black--not sure if they are supposed to be that way but I just made sure we took showers afterwards; and (3) the carpet in our room felt a little damp and sticky. I wore slippers in the room the whole time so it was fine for me. Kudos to the manager and staff for doing an awesome job! We look forward to coming back! PS: There is Caribbean food at the nearby mall!!

Close to everything

The area was an abandoned retail area that was a real dump. No restaurants unless you go downtown. Downtown was a crowded mess of no parking and tons of people without enough restaurants. Staff were fine. Pool was nasty, crowded and the hot tub was closed, looked like a kid had diarrhea in the hot tub.

Standard Hampton Inn layout and room appointments. Spacious bathroom with large counter and shelf storage. Extra towels. Plenty of outlets and usb plugs. Tub was bit worn and no exhaust fan. Staff was very friendly though there was no perk as an honor member.

We traveled with 11 kids in the group and we had a blast. The hotel was close to water country and close to many shopping areas

This property was very dirty and smelled like it was sprayed in Lysol instead of being cleaned! Awful room!!

They need to close this hotel and gut it. It was disgusting. The bathroom floor was sticky, the upholstery worn, stains on the window covering the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, the lampshades were bent and dirty. I felt dirty just being in this room.

Great location and clean!

There is a steak house next door and at ne point the room was filled with cooking smell. It went away while we were out on dinner.

One night stay en route to the final destination. Everything was pretty close to my expectations. Beds were really comfortable.

I am extremely pleased with my stay at this hotel and will definitely come here again. We stayed two nights and from start to finish, the staff was extremely helpful, friendly and polite. The room was very comfortable with a sitting area and a queen size bed with cozy bedding (soft sheets, good pillows and nice comforter). The bathroom was large with a good shower and enough towels. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful with sausage one morning and bacon the next. The western omelette was delicious. That would be enough to sell me, but there's also an indoor pool heated to a very pleasant temperature with a hot tub next to it. I would definitely go back. Keep up the good work!

Front desk personnel were not as cordial need more training. Room was clean and had amenities.

I didn’t like the location or the fact that they don’t clean your room

The room was poorly cleaned. We found hair on the side of the tub, hair in the sheets, dirty q tips in the nightstand, electric sockets were very loose and the room smelled musty, The AC was very noisy. We had to ask for new sheets and clean the bathroom ourselves. The outside parking area was very neglected. Animal feces and trash was everywhere.

I expected a bit more given the price that we paid for the hotel. Staff is lovely but the hotel smells like dogs. The first room that we were given smelled like a dog had been in the room for days. The smell was just overwhelming! The second room was okay. Once we left our room though, the smell of dogs was everywhere in the hallways, elevators etc. My family and I have stayed at other dog friendly hotels and we have never had this experience. It’s completely fine to be dog friendly but I would say this a dog hotel given the smell. If you are fine with the smell, the hotel is perfect for you.
