The rooms are clean and the fantastic breakfast 👌 😋 , guys the prices are are also friendly

The hotel offered us everything we expected. We were half board and found the food varied and plentiful. The room was clean and had a fridge and kettle,however no tea or coffee provided. The bed was comfortable.There was a hairdryer. Hot water was instant and always available. The hotel has several bus stops around and is within walking distance of the sea front. The staff were very efficient ,polite and friendly. My only criticism is that our room had very little daylight but we didn't spend that much time inside!

This hotel is in a great location close to shops and promenade with an easy access to buses and other locations by car The room was thoroughly cleaned everywhere including washing the floor and make the beds look pretty. The breakfast was nice and I like the idea of being served rather than self service. This makes it more hygienic. Evening entertainment was great and the bar staff were really friendly. Will definitely return. Also liked the shop near the reception. Friendly lady served us and the prices are reseobable.

Water stopped working while i was in the shower, staff weren’t very helpful and frankly rude not telling us what was happening consider we were flying out in the morning had to buy a case of bottle water sending my husband out to atleast wash the soap off me was first told it’ll come within 20 minutes 3hours we kept trying to find out with no real update at least of they updated us properly then we could have looked at what to do water didn’t come back till the morning even then we had to use bottle water to wash our face as the water was really dirty and we all the reception staff say is maintenance will be notified but what answer do we get? Staff was so rude that once i called down as i couldn’t go down and i said i missed dinner because i couldn’t get out the shower and he just put the phone down on me. Really don’t recommend so avoid it.

The hotel is dirty, the breakfast is the cheapest most tasteless stuff you can find. Bus station is at least somewhat nearby.

Staff were exceptional. The hotel is a little out of the way from bars / restaurants / Activities. (Except for the park across the road). Also parking is difficult (it always is in Malta though). Sitting outside the front is very noisy due to busy road. The pool area is fine.

This is defintely not a 4 star hotel! Check in Process is an absolute joke and the woman at the front desk was so incredibly rude (rest of the staff were great!). The lift is so incredibly slow and there are frequent queues to go into the lift, especially around breakfast time. It is quicker to walk up 5 flights of stairs that wait for the lift at times. Breakfast options are limited but quality of food was good. Overall, this is defintely a 2/3 star hotel in a decent location.

We read quite a few reviews before booking at Bella Vista. In general, most of the comments were true (room cold, pool cold, poor selection of food, staff not that friendly....) However, there were some positive points (bed was comfy, room cleaned daily) This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, unless you just check boxes! More like a 2/3 star. There were only two lifts and one stopped working entirely, leading to multiple trips up to the 5th floor via narrow stairs. We asked for a second key card for a family room and we're simply told "no, not possible". Areas of hotel smelt very musty and in general, it is very dated.... In general, it all comes down to your expectations.... If you accept it is quite cheap, then don't expect too much. However, if you advertise a sauna, bbq area, heated rooms, liftS.... Then these should be functional.... Overall, I would not return :(

Over all stay the stay was very nice and comfortable, staff was very supportive, helpful and friendly specially the staff in the resturent. Will suggest everyone who are planning to go to malta they should stay in Hotel Bella Vista at very reasonable price and in polite environment.

A very disappointing experience. We booked our trip in April 2019 yet when we arrived on December 28th we were told the hotel was fully booked and we would have to stay in a 3* that night. The other hotel was 15 minute walk away with luggage and although the receptionist halfheartedly offered transport, this took so long we ended up walking anyway. Thankfully the substitute hotel (Topaz) was nice and we returned to the hotel for the remaining three nights without any issues. That was until our last night on New Years Eve. Before we were due to head in to town our key card stopped working and the card reader started beeping loudly every 2 seconds. After calling the staff a security guard came to look at the door - and unable to solve the problem - gave us an actual key to open the door. When asked about the annoying noise the response was "don't worry it will be loud anyway tonight being NYE". As it happened when we returned to the hotel at 1am the partying had stopped and we were left to spend our last night struggling to sleep without anyone present to a) solve the problem or b) offer a genuine apology. Just what we needed before a long trip home the next day. I notice one of the managers of the hotel frequently replies to these reviews. I wish they were more on the ball at the hotel as there were no attempts to communicate or apologise for our substandard stay.

There is no way on this earth that this was a 4 star hotel, very very disappointed. Not even tea or complimentary coffee in the room. Will definitely not return and may not use Expedia again if it classes this as 4 star, more like a 2. Look at reviews on trip advisor, all negative feedback there I can agree with

The equipment and facilities are old fashioned. Crews have not smily face and the rooms are not insulated sound. I felt inconvenienced all nights due to noisy neighbors.

The best thing about the hotel is the name, everything else was a complete shamble from the moment we checked in. The staff at the reception when we arrived was probably the most unwelcoming, unfriendly and cold, a robot would have done a better job. If we thought that was a one off, we certainly had more surprises to come, as we soon discovered that the Free Wifi that was advertised prior to us booking on the website was none existent as we were required to pay 2 Euros per Day for each device if we wanted to use WiFi. If that was not enough, on getting to our room the standard and cleanliness can only be described as appalling with broken furniture, dirty pillowcases, bed covers, duvets and stained and dirty mattresses and mattress protectors. I have got pictures which i showed to the Manager who seem disinterested in my complaint, but was more interested in blaming the poor standard and housekeeping in our room on "the foreign housekeepers". We got woken up one morning because they wanted to change curtains as part of their monthly routines. On another occasion we went to use the Indoor Pool and it was freezing cold, on complaining at the reception about this, we were simply told someone will have a look later. No apologies nothing. Poor standards, poor level of service, the atmosphere in the hotel was just unfriendly and uncaring. When my 10 year son was asked to rate the standard of our room and the hotel out of 10, he scored it a minus 1.

the hotel needs urgent renovation, especially in the rooms

The staff were polite and professional. The food was okay. The hotel room needs to have air conditioning, the hotel room was very hot. There was only a ceiling fan in the room. The hotel room was very clean. The hotel has two lifts. One lift was already out of order and the other seemed as if any second was going to break down, as it constantly shuddered when it started and also when it stopped on the floor you wanted.

It was ok. Good place if you are on a small buget.

We weren’t sure what to expect as the reviews were very mixed. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. It’s clean, the staff are friendly, it’s value for money. One downside is that you have to pay for Wi-fi. Other reviewers had complained about the building work adjacent- it doesn’t affect the hotel and anyway The whole of Malta is one huge building site at the moment.

the hotel was ok the rooms were large and had everything we required the staff were not very freindly but sometimes this was due to language barrier. the food and beverage managger was rude and arrogant. a smile on the staffs faces would help. The breakfast was very varied and had something for everyone. would not recomend room service. the little shop on the premises was very good and prices very fair. on the whole the stay was good and would recomend it for the money paid it was very good

Good position on a main road and bus routes, out of the main tourist area, but close enough to walk to restaurants and other attractions. Spacious room, clean and airy, shame the balcony was overlooking the next door building site, which in Malta seems to be only an arm's distance away. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, and the restaurant and the housekeeping staff was very helpful and polite. Good value for money overall.
