The view of the water was spectacular. The room was clean and a special touch was two vases full of fresh roses from the property’s gardens. It appears the room has been updated in recent years with comfy mattresses and pillows. The free breakfast was fairly minimal but there was biscuits, eggs, ham, yogurt, granola bars, orange juice and bottled water.

Enjoyed a beautiful October weekend at the Waterside Inn. The water view from the "deluxe queen" third floor balcony was amazing, and the rose bushes were a gorgeous (and fragrant) touch. The room and bed/bedding were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. A lovely little piece of paradise! :)

Very nice family operated motel. Room was clean and offered a balcony with a view of the bay. Convenient location with easy access to Chincoteague town center and the Wildlife Refuge. Limited but decent complimentary breakfast.

The water views are excellent. Great fishing and crabbing pier. Pool is just right. Staff is great!!! 3rd stay and will stay again.

Room was clean but had a musty smell like all the Inns in this area have. Staff was nice but not friendly. The hot breakfast items were horribly but the yogurt with granola bar were ok. Outside area was nice and clean. We specifically enjoyed the fishing pier as it was nice and relaxing. Overall the stay was nice.

Everything was great, except for being questioned by the housekeeper about her charger and upon answering if I had seen her charger in our room, she acted like I wasn’t being truthful. When I said I did not. Like I’m on vacation spending all this money why would I steal your five dollar charger? 🙄

Te Waterside was wonderful. The room was great, and had a nice view of the water. There is a pier that you can fish from if you want, and overall, everything nice. The team there is very helpful and made a good breakfast in the morning.

Boat docking and everything you need for a quite stay. Excellent for seniors

Great bed! Smelled a little musty in the room but we opened both doors and it was fine! View was incredible!!

I love the balcony. It was very beautiful on the water. The room was OK. Enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived to the hotel, it was in the afternoon and the front desk lady asked us how many adults and children I told her 2 adults and 2 kids like how I booked online. She proceeds to check me in and advise me that our hotel is on the third floor…. Then mentions the elevator has been broken. I’m highly upset now because it’s now two moms and 2 kids crawling 3 flight of stairs with our 2 & 4 year old kids. With all of our bags we received no help bringing those up at all. Hotel was clean, the carpet feels mushy so put on socks also they don’t dust very well there so if you have allergies bring ya medicine. I didn’t eat breakfast they have some yellow tickets exchange. We decided to check out that morning and we stayed in the pool until about 2pm. I wish that they mentioned the elevator was working because we had to walk back down with all our bags and kids. Nice views, hotel was pretty quiet but if your not white they will be star

Wonderful and peaceful!!

This is a nice motel for the price--convenient to downtown Chincoteague and its restaurants and only a 10- or 15-minute drive to National Wildlife Refuge. The pool & hot tub were both clean and a decent size, and we loved sitting on our balcony watching the birds & butterflies in the empty lot next door to the inn. (All the rooms have this view from their balcony btw.) The staff was also friendly and helpful. At one point they ran out of eggs at breakfast, but they made us more and even called our room to let us know when they were ready. We'll definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay at Waterside Inn, it's very walkable to restaurants in downtown/main st Chincoteague. Check in and check out was very convenient and we had no issues.

We had the best time staying at The Waterside Inn. All the staff were super nice. The room was extremely clean.

No toilet paper in the bathroom; had to go to office to get some. Mold in the corners of the bathroom. Jacuzzi was dirty. Kids running around upstairs at 7:30 in the morning. It is an older hotel but that is no excuse for it to not be taken care of. Beautiful view of the bay though.

Very friendly service and comfortable rooms. Every room has water view. Elevator available - we would walk down the stairs easily and use the convenience of the elevator to go up with luggage, etc. Private pier safe to use at all times. Walking distance to Ropewalk and Bill Prime restaurant and a bit longer but doable walk to all the other coffee/dessert/restaurants in Maddox Blvd.

Nice property, nice staff, the breakfast was ok, nothing fancy, not was it expected to be. However the set up for breakfast isn't ideal if several people show up for breakfast at the same time. I would stay again

My wife and I enjoyed the simple and tasty breakfast served by staff. The staff were exceptionally friendly and created a homelike environment. The hotel was close enough to dining and shopping without feeling like you were in the middle of everything.

The staff was helpful, the view was enjoyable, and the overall experience - including the breakfast - made for a very pleasant stay.

This was our fourth visit to this hotel. The staff is always friendly, the room is always clean and the sunsets are beautiful from the pier.
