Beautiful surroundings and views. Nice restaurant facility with excellent food. Good parking space. Bathroom is a little bit on the small side but looks updated. Overall good value.

We recently stayed at this hotel in early September and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were incredibly cordial and welcoming. Despite it being the beginning of the month, there were many groups of tourists, which added to the lively atmosphere.
One of the perks of staying here is that the hotel offers a train card, which was very handy for traveling between Vallorcine and Chamonix — a great bonus for exploring the area.
We were quite pleased with the hotel, though we did encounter two minor issues. First, our room was extremely hot, and there was no air conditioning, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night. Second, the swimming pool is closed whenever it rains, which was a bit disappointing.
Despite these small inconveniences, if these issues aren’t deal breakers for you, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The overall experience was positive, and the location and service were excellent.

Excellent value for money. Rooms clean and comfortable. Close to train stop. Pool a bonus and very friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful upon arrival. Given rail passes for free transit during our stay. Train station a short walk from hotel. So we just left the car parked free and used the train to explore the area.

This was close to Monte Blanc Tunnel just 15 mins drive so a convenient place to stay overnight and with half board available with a delicious menu and great breakfast it was a real find!

We stayed for a ski break. We had a hire car, and used it for the various ski areas - which worked really well, but there was also ski bus stop150 metres down the road. The beds are really comfortable, the half board food excellent and we loved the friendly and helpful staff.

There are no bathtub in the room, although main reason why i choose this hotel is the bathtub. You should remove bathtub picture in the selecting room page.
Also there is bad (rotten) smell in the corridor, which make me feel that I am in the youth hostel, not in the 4-star hotel.
In the morning restauran, it seems that fruit salad is expired. And there is no much selection .
My general feeling is that this is not 4-star hotel.

This is only 4 star because of the pool and spa.
You have to book in to use the steam/sauna and it’s limited.
Rooms far too warm and no temp control. No shower gel provided, got a dirty towel with a hair band and hair on it. No fresh cups for tea/coffee - room service, only make the bed and empty the bins. Had to get a robe at reception for the spa as none provided in the rooms.
Restaurant is pretentious with average food.

Our room was given to someone, we have to wait more than one hour to get another room. Through out the week no wifi and no 4G in our room. Very service of spa. Breakfast was ok. Cleaning lady didnot replace soap and enough water, even repeatly asked.

Disastrous hotel and money grabbing management, look around else where to stay and it will save yourself a lot of trouble. By far the worst experience in my entire travelling life, it is beyond awful!

I really liked the fact that the hotel is outside of Chamonix and a bit more quiet and secluded with fantastic views.However there were plenty of buses to access the town and slopes when needed.

When we first check in our room had five flies flying around and while I had to storm around the room with my shoe to kill all of them, the room was great. We paid for a Mountain View and had amazing views of Mont Blanc from the room. It was an amazing trip for my husband and I.

Loved the Excelsior! Great room with balcony overlooking Mt Blanc. Gorgeous pool and spa was still open at the end of September and perfect for a post-sight seeing day out.
2 minute walk to bus stop/train station for free travel along whole Chamonix Valley - Chamonix only 10 minutes on bus.
Great walk from hotel up the Le Chapeau for lunch amongst the peaks.

Overall is a nice stay with great balcony view and friendly staff.
However, the check-in staff told us breakfast is 15 eu per person but we ended up paying 17/pp and the reason is we did not pre-book which they did not mention the difference to us at all (else we would pre-book). When we checked out and noticed the difference, the receptionist (another one) did nothing and said nothing about it at all as it was not her shift so not her business. From my perspective, tho it's little money, I think all the staff represent this Hotel and should show more care about customers to deal with any matter( even it's not their shift, they shouldn't show such careless). And the staff should also give the customer the right information.

Convenient out of town location with a car! Beautiful view of Mt. Blanc out our window. Nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna to relax after days of touring the mountain and the city!

pool area is very nice although not enough sun beds.there is no air condition in the reception nor in the room.We had to drag the suitcases up and down few stairs because the disabled elevator didnt work. even after 5 days. it seems to be a permanent problem.I was charged for the whole room on the day of the check-in without informing me although I should have been charged on the day of the check out.The mattress was too soft.Compared to what we paid it was very disappointing.

Good location out of Chamonix but within easy reach either walking along the riverside or using free train/bus pass available at the hotel (ask about this as was not offered at check-in). Train station and bus stop 5 minute walk from hotel. Downside is price of breakfast - €17 per person which is not good value for money for what is largely self service continental buffet. Mini fridge in room for those who want to do their own thing.
Staff friendly and hotel has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful mountain views from hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Lovely hotel in les tinges which is about a 5 minute drive from the centre of Chamonix. The reception staff were warm helpful and gave us a tour of the hotel to make sure we had a good stay. The room was very clean, comfortable and really warm on a cool spring day. The hotel is away from the main amenities but within easy reach to the centre of town and the ski lifts either by car or bus. Local parking in the centre is both plenty full and reasonable. The hotel is a little Gem.
