Check in was fine but the room was not so clean and even after they came to clean the room it was still dirty the floors were so dirty you had to dust off your feet before getting into bed everytime! And pretty sure we had some dust mites bites on us

My boyfriend and I went to Hamburg as a stop on our way to Amsterdam, but we were just blown away by Hamburg, greatly in part because of Clipper. Before arrival I had emailed with the staff about parking, and they sent me a QR code to scan at the garage upon arrival (this was awesome, as we didn't have to check in before parking).
We had reserved an apartment with a little kitchen, and this worked great. We loved living in Hamburg for a few days and we felt so at home.
You can check in with the number of key cards that you want.
The placement i St. Pauli is safe and close to a big, neat Rewe (grocery store) and the habour which is great for walks and a habour tour.
We unfortunately melted the plate cover for the microwave (by mistake) which the receptionist just laughed off with us and didn't even want us to pay for.
We will be back at Clipper, that's for sure.

This place is new and clean. It just doesn’t have a 24 hour front desk. It has a business hour office though.

This was a lovely one night stop near the Portuguese area of Hamburg. Easy to walk around and also easy to get lost. Room was lovely and spacious. Very clean. Staff friendly only issue was the language barrier. But you can work through that.

It was our second stay at clipper boarding house, and we really like both the apartment and location. Easy check in and our.
Only thing that was bad for os was the pillows were very soft / bad for our necks, and the air was dry / as it is in some apartments.
But clipper boarding is our favourite place to stay.

They was heavy glue smell in hallways which was very off-putting. Thankfully smell disappeared once inside unit.

Fantastic apartment with helpful staff, lots of restaurants in a 2 minute walk away. Subway and train system within 10 minutes away.

We were unable to check in due to a fault with the online system and there was no one available at the office as it was after 5.30pm. We had to wait over 20 mins for a security person to allow us into the room. Aside from this we had a good stay and staff were very helpful.

Clipper Boardinghouse apartments are in mint condition. Smart kitchen design. Sufficient bathroom. Furniture well kept. Under normal conditions is the climate system probably well working, with the extreme temperatures we had, the apartment was still very warm… the coolong only takes of 3 degrees celcius. Parking under the building is not cheap but very practical. Receptionist was notvtoo friendly, but fortunately you can check in and out via a system in the hallway.

Conveniently located, modern, well furnished and provided, we had a huge 60mq room with all modern conforts and two balconies. Great quality-to-price ratio for a wonderful stay

The room was super nice and the late check in smooth. On the downside there is no air conditioning so it was a little too warm. Also a bit noisy since you could hear everything from the hallway and outside. The neighborhood was good and all we needed was within walking distance. Convenient parking hall right across the street.

There are some hotels you stay at out of necessity and then there are the places you are actually looking forward to. This is one of the latter.
I've now stayed in four different rooms (including the suite) and loved them all. All of them have been spacious and the place had all the amenities I wanted.
Love the area it's situated in, that there's a parking garage, the always welcoming staff and the very nice beds.
Often, when on a road trip thru Germany, I'll gladly take a detour just to stay here. :-)

The apartment is located in a very good place where tourist attractions are nearby and a supermarket(REWE) is just 1 min walk.
The room was clean and big enough. Kitchen and cooking equipments were included so we could cook our dinner and breakfast ourselves.
The most disappointed thing is that air conditioning was not installed in the room. Since we arrived at the time heat wave just passed, it was not easy to stay without air-con.

The rooms have seen a lot of ware and rigour. Torn carpets, scuffed walls, mould in the bathroom take away from the good sized rooms and location.

The hotel is well situated close to a train station, the ElbPhilharmonie and the old Hanseatic port. We had a spacious "deluxe" room facing the restaurants on the street. It was lovely to have breakfast there in the morning sunshine. In the evenings, we closed the bedroom window to cut down on any sounds from the street. The kitchen was well equipped for a short stay. Note that they only clean the room every three days - you need to wash dishes daily to have enough for the next meal.

Great property, was not listed as VIP, but is better than 2 VIP hotels I stayed in on the same trip. Wet close to Harbor and the notable church of Hamburg...
