The room was a great size for the price, and had a nice view. Double bed was two singles pushed together but was still quite comfortable. Staff dealt with our very little Spanish and were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average and the pool was nice.

Hotel is dated but clean and staff were awesome. Let's us check in early to put our bags away before spending the day at carnaval. Breakfast was great as well.

Great hotel for its value. Staff was great and so was the service. The only downside was the AC it would not cool at all. The city is extremely hot so this was an issue that I couldn't over look.

I selected this hotel because of it cost and because it had a pool; however, when I got there I asked about the pool and they told me that it closed at 10 p.m. When I went to the pool to swim, it was closed because of maintenance (the recepcionist could have told me this when he indicated the hours for the pool). The pool was closed for 2 days - I was just staying for 3 days, so I didn´t get to use the pool. On the other hand, since the day I arrived I asked for separate bills - one for the first night adressed to the Company I work for and another one for the other 2 nights, addressed to me - however, after reminding the staff constantly that I needed the separate invoices, I had to depart the hotel without any of them. They sent them to my email a couple days later and they promised they would send them to my apartment also - it never happened -. Furthermore, the amount Expedia charged me for the hotel, was different to the rate the hotel gave me, so that caused me hours of tramits, to get a refund for the excess I was charged for. The hotel could have helped me just by giving me the invoices expressed in US dollars; however, they refused to do so until I insisted for days. In conclusion, not the best service or disposition to the clients. Finally, my last night at the hotel, I went to bed really tired, to be awakened at 2:00 am by a band that was playing extremely loud inside the hotel, because there was a marriage party celebration taking place in the hotel.

The staff was nice and friendly, they helped me with my luggage. The room was ok. The only problem that I had was that I tried to cancel the night that I was not going to stay longer but they said that the website doesn't accept it so I had to pay half even I was not going to stay longer.

The management at front desk are thieves, I originally booked the property for 2 nights through Hotels.com. I decided to stay one extra night and went to the lobby with my credit card and paid on the 3rd day for the 3rd night. I was nothing but generous, tipped each staff member often, I suppose they see this as weakness. Upon checkout they told me I owed them one more night. I showed them receipts and proof I already paid. They told me to pay in a threatening manner, meanwhile I'm in a different country and they are taking advantage of the fact that I don't speak the language fully (pretending to not understand me, meanwhile the entire time we have communicated fine). I ended up paying as I had to get to the airport within an hour. The "bell boy" insisted I get into an unmarked cab to go to the airport and stood there arguing with me when I refused to be ripped off further (this taxi cost 3x the usual amount), I just ignored him and took taxi on the street. Wifi doesn't really work. There are better places for less money.

It was nice to sit around the pool in the hot afternoon. Hotel staff would have refreshing juice drinks and sometimes appetizers in the lobby for free. The only I didn't like is that they always had music blaring by the pool even around 1am when no one was sitting out there so I could hear it in my room and at breakfast! It would have been better to have the volume turned down so that you could talk to the person at the table with you.

i about 30 dollars, for a motel 6 style room. .. With a few extras. Free breakfast, nice pool, and nice staff for the most part. And it's in a Good area..

The hotel Stuff is very friendly and the hotel was great for a short stay close to some amenities and the neighbourhood was very good

Hotel is old but in excellent order and maintained perfectly which is what I really like about it. Bed was big and comfortable. Air conditioning worked excellent. Refrigerator in room very old but in excellent condition and worked like new. I like the old furniture in the rooms that appear in such good condition as to be professionally restored. Staff was friendly though the morning breakfast crew were a little gruff. The breakfast itself was adequate. The only problem I had was with some cockroaches in the bathroom but when I advised the management the super friendly cleaning ladies sprayed the bathroom while I was out and when I returned there were no fumes and no more roaches seen since. To be fair in a tropical climate these problems are more common. I enjoyed my stay and without hesitation can recommend and will stay there again when I am in Barranquilla.
