internet didn't work well in the room tv only few channels most didn't work not enough place to hang towel in room for 3adults only 1hook in bathroom,5 hangers,2tiny drawers for 10 days live our if suitcase damp beachwear took days to dry off... changed room 3 times water flood in bathroom from glass short doors after each shower used lots of towel breakfast same selection every day.didnt have option to take to room the staff makes the stay very helpful

Hotel is horrible! Impossible to connect to WiFi. That means no WiFi and that means you cannot check in online for your next flight. Expedia failed to disclose that my booking for single room occupancy is without a window. The outlets designed for Brazilian iPhone chargers only, you will face a big issue changing your phone if you have an American or European charger. The hotel is filthy, dirty and simply disgusting. Overall, my experience in Brazil, starting from the airport exchange scammers, then dirty hotel. Just be ready to be scammed in Brazil! Never exchange U.S. dollars in any Brazilian airports. For example, in Rio,(GIG) international Airport, for $20 us dollars I got 70 Brazilian reals. The great thing is that for 25 Brazilian reals you can get from Rio Airport GIG to Copacabana via LECD71 bus that passes Ipanema with final distention to Leblon. Taxi drivers are scammers, one offered 150 Brazilian reals to go to Copacabana. Be aware when you are visiting Brazil take a bus LECD71 and do yourself a favor stay away from Hotel Atlantico Rio. In this hotel you will hear everything and everyone from chair movements, sneezing, text messaging, conversations, and foot steps since there is no carpeting; oh, one more surprise—all three elevators make sort of beeping noise all the time it stops on the floor you are staying! The bed sheets were dirty I stayed for so many days and I’ve never changed the sheets they need new bed sheets

The bed linen was filthy not even fitted sheet they put on the bed otherwise everything else is OK. They need to do better with the linen and the towel. I was there for seven days and not one day they have changed the flat sheet that they put on the bed, they just remade the bed

Great hotel in a good location in Copanema (Copacabana/Ipanema border). Right next to the subway entrance and a short walk to the beach and lots of restaurants. Rooftop (small) pool and breakfast until 10am. Rooms were average but you’ll barely spend time there since Rio is just beautiful to explore.

Room had mold in it and didn't replace towels in room for three days. Manegment was rude and didn't offer any help. Elevators so slow always had to take stairs

It’s unbelievable that they try to skim a little bit of extra money from guests by charging for the storage room… immediately gives them the disappointing feel of a cheap, cheap hotel that charges good hotel prices.

We booked a quadruple room but we asked to change rooms because the air conditioning was broken. The staff is friendly but the hotel must have a proper maintenance and renovation urgently!

Wi-Fi doesn’t working in certain rooms. Charge high luggage storage fee. Slow elevator. Hotel is dirty and noisy.

Stayed by chance during the copa libertadores final & the place was way overpriced. A/C broke down the second night & room was very basic and dated. Will not stay here again.

Charged for breakfast if not the same person every day. You are allowed two people to breakfast, including yourself, but can’t change the guest, even though you have already paid for two

I selected this hotel because it says it has parking available. Got there and this is NOT true. Most hotels is Copacabana do no have hotels, so I felt they use that as a trap. I could have reserve a hotel next to the beach, but went to this to avoid searching for parking. End up paying almost 200 for parking for one night. Breakfast was good, rooms are okay.

Place is disgusting, molds every where, the only good thing here is the breakfast. My son is sick 😷 with asthma because of the mold’s. Customer service is horrible people work a day. He’s OK people work a night sucks rude very rude. They don’t care after you check in. I stay five days with my two boys. No towel for three days. The cleaning people took my towels never brought me another one back when I ask for a towel, they yell on me saying I was causing chaos just because a towel .

Positive points: 1- Location; 2- breakfast variety of foods (but there was no cheese bread /pão de queijo; 3- the pressure of of shower head. Negative points: 1- the hotel did not change the bedsheets of our room prior to our arrival. They checked us in to a room with dirty bedsheets. 2- the toilette bowl was dirty when we got at the room. 3- I had to beg for clean bedsheets, towels and pillows. 4- I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The first problem started with the waiter master (Adao ?) a very rude guy: I said "good morning" and asked for your name he in turn asked my room number I replied: "Good morning what is your name " Since I was going to stay a month I would like to know the names of the people. Well, he replied that he was not obligated to give his name, but when I told him that he was very impolite and that I was going to file a complaint with his manager, he ended up giving his name. The second problem is the pool, which looks like a small tank. The third problem is the lack of water in some apartments. Logically, I leave the hotel going to another one of the same chain, where I've already been for a month, the Atlantico Copacabana in Siqueira Campos, the people who work there are great. I hope my apartment will be ready soon so I don't have to use hotels anymore. O primeiro problema começou com o garçon metre (Adao ?) um cara muito mau educado: eu dei" bom dia "e perguntei o seu nome ele por sua vez perguntava o numero do meu quarto eu respondia : "Bom dia qual e o seu nome" ja que eu ia ficar um mes eu gostaria de saber o nome das pessoas. Bom ele me respondeu que nao era obrigado de dar o seu nome mas quando falei que ele um cara de muita falta de educacao e que eu iria fazer uma reclamacao para o seu gerente, acabou dando o seu nome. O segundo problema e a piscina que parece um tanque de tao pequena . O terceiro problema e a falta de agua em alguns apartamentos. Logicamente que sai .

Ok, we stay at the Atlântico because of his location and price. The decision also came after watching a YouTube saying some positive things. But the reality came crashing down quickly. Be aware that towels are replaced every two days and in a city of Rio you need sometimes two to three showers a day. Specially in the summer days. So, pretty much the towels get soiled and stink. If you complain, nothing will be done. And not even that: towels might not be replaced immediately or in the morning after you left. Maybe sometime in afternoon, of they get dry from the laundry. I don’t understand this kind of management. Based on greedy things. We witness an old lady trying to get a towel for her shower and the receptionist was like apathetic and not willing to help her getting a TOWEL because he needs to follow whatever owner/management told them. Was a crazy situation and I believe was not solve. Our room was old with mold. Also moldy in the bathroom. The shower bathroom (box) was leaking water so the floor was always super wet. There’s no way to change the speed of the a/c. The lock windows was not closing properly ( actually: broken). The breakfast was not impressive: in three days straight the meals was always the same. Sometimes there wasn’t enough forks, knives, plates even coffee. I understand the peak hours, but it took forever to bring fresh brew and utensils so big lines were formed.A management based on being cheap with the guests it’s what it is.The area is expensive!

The bed was terrible. My back was in pain the next day. Old tiwells and the air conditioner didnt work. I asked to be fixed but they didnt fix it
