It’s the little things. The entrance sign not being lit, so I drove right by the place. The fitted sheet being too small and kept coming undone. Key card suddenly stops working. Power goes out for a couple hours, apparently just their in building. Thin walls, noisy, no vending machine. Small annoyances like that build up and leave a bad taste.

Second time staying at this hotel but this stay was well below average, the room was not comfortable at all and pretty run down, the couch in living area very uncomfortable and the pillows on the bed felt like the cheapest pillows money can by, the room was not very clean, found multiple hairs around the room, sink, shower that were not mine. Due to how uncomfortable the stay was and cleanness I won’t be back

We loved the property our only complaint there was no housekeeping done to our room. Trash full and they didn't refill coffee etc. We went to the office to get the coffee and setups which was fine. But housekeeping never arrived

Good location not too far from town.
Excellent parking. Room was clean but lots of dust on curtain pelmets and extractor fan in bathroom. Recommend making reservations in local restaurants as you can wait up to two hours for a table at peak times

Perfect location, very clean, bed was very comfy and Rob couldn’t have been more welcoming! Will def go back!!

The young lady in the morning was very pleasant. She worked magic so we got a downstair room. They have no elevator. There are short steep stairs to climb to ground floor.
Comfortable bed.
* Shower tub has a grab bar on the wrong end.
* a lamp didnt work. Never got a replacement during our 2 nights stay
* toilet seat was loose. That never got fixed either.

The gentleman there at check-in was very nice and welcoming. Place needs a bit of live and some deep cleaning, but our room was ok. Not more than 3 star rating for sure.

The Grey Fox inn has been one of our favourite hotels in Stowe for years. Perfect all year long with the pool in summer the lounge area and the property is very nice and quiet. The bike paths right behind the hotel. The rooms for every type of stay. We always have a nice time at the Grey Fox in Stowe! Thank you from Montreal

Rooms have updated furnishings and interiors but lack attention to details. Bathroom lacked a working fan. Fan was there and very dirty but switch was covered. Communication with site was limited and even after providing requested info I was not sent information prior to check in. It’s clear they’re working on improvements but the lack of breakfast and hallway smell led to rating.

Overnight room was beautiful and very clean. Only disappointment was we picked a fireplace room and it is basically for show.

Lovely newer and clean room. Bed was quite comfortable. Front desk (owner?) was super
nice and helpful. The only drawback is that it is a little far from the main town and so we needed to drive there instead of walk (which we knew when we booked but there can be quite a surprising amount of traffic in the little town!)

Grey Fox Inn was the perfect place for our stay. We only stayed one night but I was very impressed by the charm and cleanliness of the place. Felt extremely safe.

Worth it for the price. Bed was kinda stiff and uncomfortable. Patio light and front light were out and not working. Great location, staff was friendly. Overall worth the stay for the price it was at.

To begin with the night staff was rude and very unprofessional. When I came in trying to fix my reservation I was told “I only work part time and honestly it’s above my pay grade.”. Trying to get things straightened out was a complete nightmare. On top of it while I was sleeping housekeeping just walked into my room. I was never told about breakfast which isn’t a problem but still would have been nice to know. Overall I will never stay there again and will gladly go elsewhere.

I enjoyed the convenience of having a choice between an indoor pool for when the weather was not great for using the outdoor pool. But both were great.
I also like the proximity to the walkable recreational trail.

The Grey Fox Inn was close to most restaurants and the bike trail. We stayed there to enjoy the Stowe Jazz Festival Weekend and had an enjoyable stay.

A little tired looking needs a good spring cleaning, indoor pool black ring around it, frog in outdoor pool, no one to check us in for 10 minutes, bathroom had mold and needed some painting. Beds were comfortable, only one chair on deck, place needs to be paved, dirt and gravel got everywhere, on room floor, in our car, looks like someone ran out of money before finishing the job.

The hotel and grounds were beautiful! The suite was clean and very comfortable. The pool and pool area was kept up and relaxing. Check in and checkout were easy and professional.
