Really quirky hotel really friendly helpful staff

This was a sweet little pub/hotel with lovely rooms and a fantastic staff! If I get the chance to go to Worcester again, I'll definitely stay here.

Friendly small historic pub in the centre of Worcester with a great full English breakfast.

Lovely old pub, very atmospheric. Room was a little small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast (we paid extra for full English) was very good and freshly prepared.

This is a very beautiful little pub. The rooms are all unique and have their own charecters. Staff are really friendly. The continental breakfast is delivered in a picnic basket outside your room or you can have a cooked breakfast in the bar. Parking via car park is right outside and shopping is just a short walk away

Lovely old fashioned hotel, friendly staff and excellent room. The bottle of Prosecco for our wedding anniversary was a lovely touch.

Had a lovely stay in the Cardinals hat. Would of been better if they had evening meals

Amazing ,very friendly ,clean ,staff always happy to help , very comfortable stay , breakfast was included in a basket outside your room but we paid extra £5 each to have full English per day and it’s well worth it would highly recommend Nicole and Ellis are a credit to the hotel …. Very central to all parts of Worcester .

An historic property in the heart of the tourist area. Beautiful streets, buildings and pubs. Great breakfast options, 5 lb full English or continental delivery to room door. Lovely staff, nice room. And a pub right downstairs!

The room in itself was okay but... Bin not emptied No plug in sink No tea spoon for making tea etc Worn and stained carpet Curtains hanging off rail Dirty stained window's Dirty stains on shower walls Wobbly bedside tables

We absolutely loved everything about The Cardinals Hat. The staff were lovely and the room was superb, the bed was really comfortable too. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

Somewhat weird. Great central location, comfortable bed, nice clean, tho tiny, shower and with cute personality; but the broken fan in the wardrobe made it hard to hang stuff, the wand holder in the shower was also broken, the car parking advice on their website is wrong, and its pretty strange when the only way to check out early is via the fire escape. Quite the experience.

A very friendly and helpful welcome from Ted who helped with our bags and apologised for the kitchen being closed for the evening due to staff illness but we were able to order into the bar. Our en-suite room was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for an overnight stay. We sampled the excellent local beer and the continental breakfast hamper was both charming and beautifully presented with quality produce. Beautifully situated in the old streets of worcester and convenient for eateries, cathedral and main sopping area-all within easy walkiing distance. Thank you for making our first overnight in Worcester so relaxing.

The hotel does need some updating and seemed and cleanliness could have been better. Would say the staff and breakfast were best very good.

Dog friendly hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Delicious cooked breakfast for additional £5 per head. NCP car park entrance is not opposite Cardinal Hat and discount code does not work, however plenty of cheaper options nearby.

Hotel was nice with old style pub atmosphere downstairs, but not as advertised on Hotel.com, as extra for breakfast (which wasent that great or big) as well as no discount applied for the carpark that was indicated as included!!

This review is so 50/50. The pub is beautiful, old and in my opinion one of the nicest places in Worcester (old town). The staff were friendly, chatty and went out of there way to help. The room was directly above the garden tent, Friday night was not the time to book if you want sleep! This appears to be Worcesters local hot spot and was loud to say the least. However the locals were there before I was so that’s my problem for the date I picked. The pub tries to be all fancy, biscuits, hot chocolate, water but sadly the state of the room let it down big time. The dirt on the carpet was nothing more than vile. The curtains all hanging of the rails and the longest dog hairs you have ever seen on the bed! (It’s also a little damp and the wallpaper is pulling away, but in fairness it’s an very old building) if house keeping stepped up it would be a beautiful place to stay. As I said, staff were lovely, breakfast was nice, but money needs spending to refresh the rooms. Would I go back?? Possibly!! Different room, midweek, but only if housekeeping clean that carpet

Nice comfy room in an old worldy Inn in the heart of Worcester just a stones throw from the cathedral. Friendly staff and good food made for a really enjoyable stay!

We booked this very last minute as we had such a great day in Worcester. We arrived and were greeted by a really helpful guy who showed us the room, which was really nice.

Stayed for one hot night, but the windows opened and there was a fan provided. Bed very comfortable unfortunately kept getting woken up by someone constantly walking around above us until 3.30 am. Otherwise, can't complain.
