This hotel is very convenient for travelers who have an early flight, it’s close to the airport. The grounds are old and there is always a particular smell.. if you want to take the shuttle to/from the airport is $5 each trip. If you are looking for a hotel close to the airport at a decent price ONLY for sleep this is the one.

We found roaches in the room I asked to speck with a manager but never reached out.

Easy hotel for the airport. Everything is adequate although not polished. Shuttle service is about 15 minutes to the airport and was very easy to organize from the hotel.

This place isn’t only old, needs some TLC and the furniture is terrible. To expensive for what it is. It has the same quality as a hostel and even hostal have better quality and amenities

I spent one night at the Las Americas hotel during my layover on the way to Belize. It had a shuttle service, was competitively priced and close to the airport - which made it a great option. The hotel has an onsite restaurant, bar and casino and is in a quiet area with a number of dining options. I felt quite safe walking around in the evening. The hotel is showing some signs of age and there were renovations underway. The shuttle apparently goes to the airport every 30 minutes but best to call them in advance and then once you have cleared customs otherwise you could end up waiting an hour, like i did, if they are not having many guests at the time you arrive. Once i called, they were able to get a driver to me. The shuttle charge is US$5 compared to US$12 with a taxi, so a good option. The shuttle back is quite easy, let them knkw when you have to leave and it is all taken care of. They'll even give you a wake up call if you need one. All in all a great option and would certainly consider on my next trip.

Nice place to stay, food is good, room was clean. My problem was it took an hour to check in and I never got a key card that would open my room, I had 11 different cards and none would do it, a porter had to open it for me. Staff was polite and helpful. Maintenance showed up me last night but I didn’t need it fixed then

Good rooms , good food and safe area

Fantastic property in a great location and close to the airport. We only camped here for a night after landing in Guatemala city before continuing onto other destinations. So our needs were pretty basic. The property is getting renovated and some of the rooms and property areas need finishing touches from the recent work. The staff speak limited English so we had to make do with our broken Spanish. The breakfast was hearty with many options.

The hotel is ok disappointed because I made the reservation though Expedia they did not want to include breakfast as everyone else. The coast for the breakfast is very pricey for the food they have. They should be more clear when you arrive.

Was an amazing experience staying in this hotel. My husband n I had a splendid time in the restuarant. Food n sevice was on point.

I made an Expedia reservation and elected to pay at check in because I did not know for certain if I would need the room or not. I actually tried canceling the reservation two hours after I made it and could not. So much for the 24 hour Expedia cancellation policy. I spoke with a woman at the desk that was completely unhelpful and unsympathetic in every way possible. I know for a fact there is a better rate than the one I got via Expedia, but the woman said that was the only rate which I know is not true. Adding insult to injury, I was charged even more than what I was supposed to pay according to Expedia because the hotel made up their own exchange rate, even though it clearly said on the Expedia listing that the exchange rate would be the current rate, not the hotels made up one. So the price on Expedia did not match the hotels price, a couple dollars more in favor of the hotel. The hotel corridors feel run down, but the Resturant and rooms are nice enough. Is the stay worth $96.83 per night? Heck no! I have stayed in Airbnb’s in the city for $15-20 that are comparable and a couple that were even much better. Likely my first and last time staying at this hotel. If you decide to book this hotel through Expedia, a word of caution, pay for it through Expedia or you will be charged even more if you pay in person.

Overall, my experience was ok. It was cheaper than other hotels in the area, but some things should not happen. The waiter in the restaurant during breakfast asked me twice to sign the bill after saying I could do it at the end. I served my plate only twice: one with the leading food and another with fruits and pastry. I am mindful of not overeating during buffets, so I don't know why the waiter behaved like that.
