Hotel was ok - positives - very quiet and peaceful. Downfalls - room was adjoined to another not comfortable for a lone female traveller, room smelt musty, cracks in mirrors and bathroom fixtures, very small TV’s, cleanliness of carpet, walls and doors not to standard. Wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

The staff were lovely, the room shower everything was lovely and clean. Unfortunately for me the mattress was a little bit thin, and that wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. Everything else I didn't have a problem with.

Had stayed at this hotel about 6 years ago, but found it has become very tired since. The bedding and towels were of a nice quality but the bedroom furniture and bathroom could do with some attention. (Crack in sink, broken toilet roll holder and dodgy toilet flush) TV did not work, and despite raising with reception was not rectified. Breakfast buffet poor and cooked breakfast limited. We ate in the restaurant on our first night, and despite being the only diners, waited 10 mins for the waiter to produce a menu, which was the only one and needed to be shared between our party of 4. Once the food arrived, it was well cooked. We stayed for 2 nights and requested that the room be serviced on day 2, this didn’t happen. Very disappointed in our ‘executive’ room and unfortunately won’t be returning.

Really tired. Ground floor with a door which didnt lock properly out on to a patio. Poor service, poor comms over needing to pay for breakfast.

Very friendly staff and a lovely location. A large, comfortable room with one or two maintenance issues that needed sorting but when reported were responded to in a positive way. The fire doors in the corridors close noisily and for some this could be a real disturbance.

Staff are friendly and helpful and bedroom modern, however bathroom is glass panelled so not private and grounds and communal areas tired.

In general staff treated arriving guests as an interruption to their conversations.
Room with many faults - some lights no functioning, shower fittings broken, sink plug not functioning, toilet seat broken, mould in bath/ shower area, no effective a/c and windows unable to be opened for ventilation.
This facility is obviously well past its prime and clearly poorly managed by staff who really don’t care.

First time I have stayed at the Hotel, very impressed and would stay again.
One downside food was not available to residents due to a function, but was able to walk into the village where there are several good options to eat.

The hotel is more of a training centre with basic accommodation than a hotel. The lights and TV is our room didn’t work, and the shower only emitted ragingly hot water. We were offered an alternative room to shower in but didn’t fancy shuffling down the corridor and back in pyjamas.

Had issues with the bath plug and shower temperature. Otherwise spot on, great location, terrific grounds, could not fault the service. Room handy for dogs and you can park outside. Overall we will return, and it is recommended.

Loved the french doors that we could have opened if the weather had been warmer. Plus could have parked outside our room if we'd known the car park extended there.

Rooms were tired and stains on carpets and bedding. Furniture in bedroom was sticky and items stuck to the surfaces. Property could be really lovely if time and effort was made. Service was poor, tables left with crockery on and not cleared after meal. Glasses were not cleared during the evening. Overall for the price paid very disapointed and have had better rooms and experience for half the price. Gardens infront of rooms were not tended.

The room was quiet, but a little too warm. It was a good size. The bathroom was a good size too, and had a nice bathtub. There were two twin beds in our room. The mattresses were acceptable, but probably should be updated soon. The grounds are lovely, and Quorn's restaurants and bars are less than a 15 minute walk away.
