resort its beautiful, beach is ugly, food is excelent

The washroom did not have an exhaust system which made the area wet and smelly. The wifi is limited only to two people, when we have paid for the room every one should be provided with wifi.

The property was okay. Quite smaller in real life than in photos, There was an awful smell coming from the shower stall. And many times my phone to call room was not working Infact they had to call repair man to fix it. Room service was really slow and this time around the food was not good. The only restaurant I enjoyed was Kobo a Japanese restaurant!!!!!!! Personally I would never go back to that hotel again!!!!!

The grounds are beautiful and clean. The staff is always ready to assist with anything.

Nice beach, good sea view from the hotel, plenty of pools with easy access., good dining options, friendly and attentive staff who are very respectable. Beautiful settings, . But only draw back is wifi only free for 2 devices for a family . Rest of the family have to pay for wifi which is bad.

The property is beautiful however the lack of communication as to what restaurants are open or closed, activities etc is not good.

We just returned from a wonderful 10 day vacation. We are a family of 5 (children 10, 7, and 4) and enjoyed our time immensely. 3 hotel complex- all amenities are available to you regardless of what hotel you stayed at. Ventus Ha- This was the most relaxing pool, KOBO was outstanding food, Alberto was incredibly entertaining. Wonderful servers. Ventus The pool was large, and not overly loud. Not a lot of umbrellas over the sun chairs but we were usually able to get one. We tried the French restauarant and it was so delicious! The salmon soup, the beef fillet and creme brule were incredible. They have pickle ball, giant chess sets and ping pong so the kids were happy to play when they would get tired from swimming. They also have kayaks and SUP boards to borrow and take out into the water. And also bikes Beach was fine. At times it had a horrible smell due to the seaweed down the way, but it is usable. If you walk past the marina about 300m there is a beautiful clear white sand beach. on the route you will see the dolphins, and many iguanas! The marina pool was the party pool! Swim up bar, cliff jumping and a waterslide. They also have infinity pools and jacuzzis. Good options for adult only pools if you are looking to escape the laughter (screaming) of children. Buffet was OK- would love to have seen more Mexican options every night! I'm in Mexico! I want Mexican food! We tried the Italian restaraunt and it was great. Great Stay!

We spent a week there and were surprised by how clean it was and dinning options are excellent. We tried all 7 restaurants and they are very good.

My whole week staying here was terrible because of mosquito bites. Even inside my room there were many mosquitos. I got bitten all over my body everyday. So itchy & painful. I wouldn’t come back here.

Amazing property too bad there’s a seaweed from May-Aug but there’s nothing they can do about it. Everything else was amazing I wish I could stay for a month 💕

Love all the pool options but I wish the pools was kept cooler.. it didn’t feel refreshing as by midday it was just as hot in the water as outside!! Everyone was super nice and food options were fantastic, drinks were delicious and massage I had at the spa was the best ever!!!

OK! Please hear me out. this property is AMAZING! 1) food is fresh and exceptional in taste 2) children friendly activities in the pool 3) beautiful resort with all live plants 4) CLEAN!!! Rooms and all dinning areas. THIS IS THE CLEANEST resort i have ever been to i would go again in a heartbeat

This was our first trip to Mexico. I was quite impressed at how beautiful the resort was in-person and how friendly the staff members were. There are three resorts to utilize the amenities. My husband searched YouTube prior to our visit and watched customer reviews which were very helpful. We never had an issue trying to get a cabana, loungers around the pools, couches on the decks, or seats at the buffets. We arrived mid-afternoon our first day, so we ate dinner at one of the buffets, and made dinner reservations the next three nights. The food was very good. We tend to be disappointed in food at all-inclusive resorts, but we definitely were not. There are ample activities each day at all three resorts for you to attend or participate in. The beach was perfectly fine during our stay (not covered by seaweed). They are constantly cleaning the resorts and beach; they truly attempt to keep them well maintained. I do not normally leave resorts when traveling, but my husband convinced me to take a bike tour with staff from El Cid. It was pretty cool to see the markets and Puerto Morelos and I was comfortable along the way. As far as transportation, we booked with USA Transfers. It was recommended in several of the YouTube reviews. We had a private van for our family of four. and service was excellent. Overall, we loved our trip to El Cid and have nothing but good things to say. We will definitely return.

First of all theres almost a nonexistent beach. If you want Caribbean beach this is Not the place! The hotel only wants more and more money from you, to upgrade, they charge 60 usd for wifi if you want more than 2 devices, so, if you need to work from your computer be prepared!! Unbelievable that a hotel like that one is charching you for those basic needs. Staff the same, they were only nice to you if they can get a gratitude which they ask for everything, they hide even the snacks in bars and pretend they do not have any, then suddenly say they have but you need to give them tip like making you a favor. WE NEVER FELT WELCOMED!!! Food is average… nothing outstanding. We will definitely never going to stay there again, and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!! For what you pay you should get a Lot More!!!

We stayed for five days with family. It was actually one of the best resorts we have stayed in. They clean your room twice a day and the rooms/property is extremely clean! There are a lot of locations for towels near multiple pools that the facility provides. The kids loved the water slides and multiple pool activities that were provided each day. The food options were great and we loved that the hotel provided healthy food options - fresh juice, fresh omelets, oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc. . Room service is available and we really found that useful due to our kids ages. We had a two bedroom suite facing the ocean and it was ideal for our family. I would recommend this hotel for anyone.

We stay at Ventus for 6 days 5 nights and just so you know they have 2 more hotel and having the option of using the pool and restaurant of the other 2 is great, they have dolphins !, we did so many activities, planning on going next year my family love it .

The resort itself is beautiful. The beach at the resort is non existent. If you are looking for a beach vacation I recommend you look elsewhere

Majority of the services and amenities at El Cid was great. The staff was very friendly. One of the issue was the wifi connections allowed. I was only permitted 2 wifi connections and additional connections would cost $30 per device. The other issue was the buffet. The lunch buffet was good but dinner was below average. I didn't see any steak grills at any of the buffet that I visited.

It was very quiet and employee's were very nice.

I will not come back or prefer friend to this resort based on my recently stay here. 1/ this resort charge me 100$ even I booked all inclusived package. 2/ only 2 devices allow free wifi, if you want extra device 10$ each day 3/ very hard to make reservation for dinner, even I try to book very first day when I just hot to resort
