This was a nice little property for my son and I to stay and fish. The covered dock was great - long enough to get my fishing boat well protected. Good views there and shade for the hot days.

We highly recommend "The Lily Pad" for a peaceful getaway! The property is beautiful and accurately described with stunning lake views and amenities like a grill and Solo stove for cozy evenings. The property manager was easy to reach and very helpful. Perfect for a relaxing day - I particularly enjoyed the reclining loungers for afternoon naps by the lake. Bring charcoal for the grill and firewood for the Solo stove and you're all set for a fantastic stay! We are already looking forward to another long weekend at "The Lily Pad!"

The big water view was amazing! The drive to the property was a little bit challenging. Step one lane dirt/gravel road. Not a place you want to drive after dark. The rental was beautiful updated with everything you need. The HVAC and instant hot water heater in the primary bath was a bit noisy at night. The LTV floor was gorgeous but unfortunately there were cracks and gouges in a few spots. Walking barefoot is not recommended. Overall nice weekend retreat with breathtaking views.

Lovely home supplied with everything we needed. Great kitchen for cooking together. Perfect spot on the deck swing to have coffee, a drink or simply enjoy the view. The host was exceptionally helpful.

We enjoyed our getaway at this cottage. It was very cozy and restful! It was quite quiet up there in the Fall which is just what we were looking for.

We had the best stay! It was the cutest place for us to have my friends relaxing bachelorette weekend!! The views are unmatched! House was cozy and clean!! Meredith even went beyond what she should have and had to ship some personal items we left behind, back to us!! Would definitely stay here again!

The driveway was very steep!! There wasn’t any soap to run the dishwasher. There was a dirty pan left in The oven and only 1 extra roll of TP also the outdoor cushions probably could be replaced, and the floor is very uneven , other then that it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Great location! The house was nicely decorated and had everything we needed and then some. Are they were not too many steps to get down to the lake, which was good for grandma. I could not ask for a better view to drink morning coffee, and watch the sunrise from the deck. We really enjoyed our stay!

This location worked great for us to spend a weekend on the water. The house is close to the water with a short walk down to the boat dock. Everyone we met was very nice and welcoming. We always enjoy staying at smith lake and this property was definitely a hit for good water access and a nice place to enjoy the evenings on the patio.

Clean, beautiful home and lake! The kids loved the water mat! Def will be back but next time with a boat!!

Our stay at the Lilly Pad was great from the accommodation to the outdoor experiences. The view from the house to the lake was amazing every morning and sunset. Definitely recommend renting or bring a boat! Will definitely keep an eye out to see if this property is available in the future!

Beautiful cottage great views. The people before us left full trash at the house and on the street and we didn't see it picked while we where there so our only option was to sit it on the garbage can hope it wasn't a mess. they left trash down on the viewing area which is great so we picked that up neighbors were nice as well. We would stay there again.

This lake house was everything as it is described We loved the setup of the house it was very clean and decorated The Veiw was completely amazing of the lake and very easy to get to the covered boat dock. We would love to stay at the lake house in the near future!!!

This was the perfect place to relax, refresh and regroup with my husband for 4 fabulous days. The house was beautiful and very clean. We had groceries delivered via Instacart and we brought our pontoon boat with us. We traveled by boat once we launched the boat and used the public boat launch as you can't launch at any of the Marina's. We will be back again! Thank you, Meredith, for your warm hospitality!!

We had the best girls trip here! The perfect in between spot for Birmingham and Huntsville. Everything was thought of - we felt right at home. We are already talking of rebooking next year. Thank you!

This is the perfect lake getaway! Beautiful place perfect for a family with the most accommodating kitchen I've ever seen. And the view....absolutely beautiful! We had a great time!!

This most comfortable we've ever felt away from home. The views, the decor, lighting, outdoor seating, wine, chocolate snacks, fireplace, beds, towels, couches (there was the softest, snuggliest blanket on the couch that almost accidentally wound up in my suitcase!) were more than we could have hoped for. The winding one lane road and steep hidden driveway made us feel like we were in the middle of nowhere but everything we needed was nearby (including some excellent cocktails and barbecue). Be sure to see the inspirational Ave Maria Grotto and the Clarkson Covered Bridge nearby! Meredith was an excellent host and there were no problems. We tried to extend our stay even longer than planned but a storm took out the power and we were forced to leave at the regular time. Not going to lie -I shed a couple tears on the way out the door for the last time. We will definitely be back! Thanks Meredith

Very clean, beautiful location, well stocked kitchen that had everything we needed for a three day stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the fireplace (we stayed in January) was WONDERFUL! Perfect for a girls getaway!

The view is amazing and very close to the water. Cozy decor. Books and puzzles are a bonus. The gas fireplace was a nice surprise though didn’t really need it. Easy to turn on and off. The owner was quick to respond- making checking in and out easy. The queen size bed was comfy and warm. Black curtains made it easy to block out light when sleeping. Good walkway lighting. The heating/AC can be loud if sleeping in the queen bed. If on the top bunk, the outside lights are bright- need shades/curtains in the bunk room for those sensitive to light at nighttime. I thoroughly enjoyed the swing outside while looking at the water. Very quiet spot in the winter. Nice renovations. Ramp available from outside to inside. Steep steps if on crutches. Flooring inside slightly uneven. This was not an issue for us but for those who may be considering on crutches, scooter, wheelchair. Overall, recommend for small family, couple, or sister time.

The overall stay at this property was great! Property owners were accomidating answering any and all questions and allowing us to check in early. The property had everything you could possibly need as well. I used to live in the area so it was great being avle to enjoy the view with family as we celebrated xmas. The fire pit on the lower deck makes for an amazing experience watching the sunrise or just catching up woth family. We loved it and plan to make this our go to property for visits back home with family!

We had a little weekend reunion planned for me and my college friends at the Lily pad and it did not disappoint! It was clean and very stylish! Love all the gold accents ;) We had a quiet weekend by the lake and the windows looking over the lake in the morning were just beautiful. House is equipped with pretty much anything you might need. It was cozy and perfect for a bunch of women needing a weekend away! We talked about coming back every year we enjoyed our stay so much.

Looking for a scenic getaway with two friends and we were so impressed with the Lilly Pad! Everything is new, clean, and extremely comfortable. The Darroch's went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and extremely comfortable. The location of this property is incredible. Very quiet and at one of the widest parts of smith lake making the view absolutely breathtaking. Thank you so much for making this gem available!

We loved everything about the house. The interior design of the home was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable along with the other furniture. The back deck was huge and nicely furnished. We will definitely book again!
