It was good having the sports bar below the hotel, though it did sometime mean the receptionist was busy sering in the bar. The room was freezing when we arrived and the aircon heating kept switching off after 30mins. Relied on the batroom radiator to heat the whole room. The room itself was spacious for a cosy/small room and it was clean and nicely decorated. My wife particularly like the electric shower. The corridors were a bit of a maze with little signage to get you to reception. Glad there wasn't a fire.

Great hotel and location, the only thing that lets it down is the electric shower which this time of year you have to hug the wall to get wet

I made a complaint via the hotels web site but have not had a reply. I do not expect to see used feminine hygiene products in the toilet brush.

Outstanding hotel in an excellent location. Staff particularly friendly, helpful, and attentive, especially Claudia. I wish our trip had involved staying more than one night here.

Short 3 day stay. Have stayed in this hotel before so knew it was ok. Staff are very good and friendly. Location is excellent right on Lord Street. I was put in an accessible room this time which i didn't need or ask for but it wasn't a problem. The bed was comfortable and the shower was a wet room. A couple of very small issues, one was no hooks anywhere so nowhere to hang towels or a cap. Also the bathroom didn't have the 2 pin shaver socket so couldn't recharge my electric toothbrush.

The front staff has gone far and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as it possibly could. I would like to commend Jade for making our stay memorable.

Staff were friendly at reception. Night receptionist very helpful and attentive. Stayed here before as rooms are comfy, clean and modern. Would highly recommend.

A lovely stay in a lovely hotel

Lovely room and lovely staff. The average rating is due to loud music until 12.30 and then noisy people outside until late. Had I known we were staying over an Irish pub, I would not have booked. This needs to be made clear on site. We left a night early.

Nice clean and fresh

Lovely hotel; very high standards, fittings and furnishings. Lovely breakfast provided in The Grand Hotel across the road. Slightly inconvenient having to leave the hotel for breakfast but not a big problem. Very good waiting staff in The Grand and comfortable restaurant area.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. The hotel has many bars right on its doorstep. The room was spotless with nice touches in the bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

Good stay. Very comfortable bed and pillows. All very clean. Shower base very slippery could do with a anti-slip mat. Breakfast was lovely in the hotel over tge road i assume they are part of same company.

If you want a quiet location do not book this hotel. My room was on the first floor above Punch Tarmey's, a lively loud noisy bar. I have no trouble this this but what I do have trouble with is that it is allowed to be open until the early hours. I had gone to Southport to attend a funeral with my sister and her husband and had requested that we were put into rooms next door or close by, this was not accommodated which was not ideal. The hotel rooms have undergone significant renovations and were very pleasant however I did report a light out in the bathroom on my first night which was not attended to and upon checkout a couple of days later reported that a second one had gone which made the bathroom very dark. The location on Lord Street is good and although there is parking at the back of the hotel in a Tap2Park car park the cost if you are staying in the hotel is reduced to £8.20 per night which is still very expensive, if you are there for a few days you have to factor this into the cost of your hotel stay. We stayed in a B&B in July last year and the parking was free.

We very much enjoyed our stay, our room was very good with excellent views of Lord Street and all the staff where very welcoming and helpful, slightly on the negative the room was in some respects not very functional ie. Lighting around dressing table and in bathroom over bowl was poor, also when sitting at the dressing table you cannot see into the mirror which is too high, nevertheless we would probably stay again on our next visit to Southport.

Great room in an ideal location on the main road. Modern room with all the expected facilities and very comfortable. It is above a bar but that didn't have any impact on our stay

I booked for a little honeymoon getaway All staff and hotel was amazing and outstanding service would highly recommend to anyone, we will definitely be going back, and I won’t stay anywhere else

Amazing stay so booked for an extra night . Lovely bar staff and friendly hotel staff . Drinks are reasonable priced and lots of outside space to sit and drink . This is about our 6th visit so we will be back later this year .

Beautiful rooms only down fall its above a busy bar ok if you go to bed after midnight

No parking onsite bit to the rear and discounted but not free. No lift and steep stairs. Had to leave hotel for breakfast, on hotel across the road, not included. Loved the location and champagne bar. Staff polite and helpful.
