We had a lovely and restful weekend visit. The house is well equipped with lots of extra bedding and comfortable places to sit.

Long time Slo local visiting from San Diego. This place is in a great location, quiet, peaceful, and lots of culture especially if you want to do wine tasting in the valley or hit the beach.

We had a wonderful time at Marvin’s Chalet Ritz. The apartment is full of interesting things to look at and read, and there is a beautiful view out of every window. Everything was clean and tidy, there were plenty of supplies for our extended stay, and Marvin was quick to help us with any needs that came up. We would enjoy another stay there!

Perfect size for a couple. Comfortable bed, extremely easy checkin process and communication with our friendly host. My only suggestion would be blackout curtains/blinds and a door for the bathroom. Love having morning coffee in the patio enjoying the view. I’d definitely stay hear again (with an eye mask 😉)

We have stayed in SLO many times, are familiar with the area and accommodations. We were so pleased with this pick. We had everything we needed and were close to everything. Would definitely stay there again.

The cottage itself is very comfortable and well-furnished. The listing and photos represent it completely accurately -- no surprises or disappointments. The environs are beautiful, and the location made it possible for us to do lots of exploring from Oceana to San Simeon.

This was the perfect place to stay for are family ... great location and just overall a great stay for us to come home at night after a long day at the beach

The chalet was the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in. I visit my family in this area for two weeks each year, and having a refuge that feels like home is a blessing. Marvin is a wonderful host! He is communicative, thoughtful and always responded when I had questions. The living space was perfect for me, with a full kitchen, comfortable bed and living space that felt like I was in my own home in Northern California. Plus, the chalet was close to where my family lives, which was an added bonus. Being an individual who loves nature, I appreciated the bird life that visited the back garden every morning and evening. Marvin and his wonderful home would be my first choice when I come again next year.

Quiet, away from all the traffic. Welcoming, beautifully decorated, comfortable, unusually well-equipped.

Marvin has a unique unit; a combination of Old West and beach decor that is clean and comfortable! It is very close to the town of AG in a very country like setting!

The host is wonderful. The "chalet" is a sweet, warm, cozy, bright, private cottage. Easy access parking. I enjoyed the view from kitchen window out to the comfy patio, with view of valley and sunrise over the hills beyond. I got experience the beauty of the full moon shining through the living room area skilights, all cozy with a nearby resident owl hooting at night. The decor is a loving memory of a family member and her collection of Indian artifacts. I cooked while listening to a romantic guitar cd from the hosts collection and yes, I danced! I enjoyed the tranquility of this cottage. The loving care put into making it so warm and inviting. Birds in the bird bath, the trees, ancient and gorgeous. You will not be dissapointed!

We wanted a relaxing place away from a congested urban area between Pismo Beach and SLO. Marvin has a beautiful cottage that's spotless and interestingly decorated. The town of Arroyo Grande was 7 mins. away and had great restaurant choices*. . *The Village Cafe - super breakfasts The Village Grill - great burgers etc Mason Bar and Kitchen - more formal - urge getting reservation for dinner
