We arrived at the property about an hour after check in time to find the unit hadn’t been cleaned from the previous stay. We called the property manager and they said someone would come by but they’d let me know. We left for dinner and after an hour hadn’t heard back. I reached back out and they texted to say the maids were there. They cleaned and when we returned there were linens on the bed and all dishes were done but obviously everything couldn’t be addressed in the quick after hours haste. We were finally able to get in and settled with our 2 year old 3 hours after our initial check in time with no further contact from the manager or discussion of the time we couldn’t be in the unit.

Though this is a cute little house conveniently located near campus, it is also located close to a hospital which resulted in several ambulances blaring during the night. Sheets smelled musty and you need to bring your own pillows. I probably could have overlooked all of the above if I didn’t find the check in process difficult. The property owner uses a third party company for verification. I really wasn’t comfortable giving my personal information and driver’s license to a foreign company. I’m addition, the verification required me to pay another $35 fee which wouldn’t have been a big deal, however, I only stayed one night. I probably use VRBO once a month and have never encountered something like this before.

The home was really pretty, clean, well stocked, easy to access, and the check out process wasn't burdensome. Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Athens.

Overall we had a good visit here and would stay again. A few items that need some attention include the hedges surrounding the driveway , which made it difficult to see when pulling out. There was a pothole in the driveway too that made entering and exiting the property a challenge. The microwave did not function, although we did not report this as it was easy to work around with all the other appliances in the kitchen. The decor is top notch and the kitchen was well appointed.

This place is ok for a night or 2, but anything over that, not so much, the neighborhood is very noisy,(ambulances, bass all time of night), tv in the living room didn’t work, microwave didn’t work, lots of bugs because the grass has not been cut in some time, fire pit was overgrown, if staying more than one night bring your own trash bags and laundry detergent to wash towels. This place would be very nice if it was kept up a little better.

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage! It was so nice to have time with the family & able to relax during a very busy graduation week. It was a wonderful visit & the cottage is in a great location to all of Athens!

Boy was I surprised! Remodeled cottage with nice furnishings and great location. Well stocked kitchen (although I wasn’t there long enough to enjoy it except for a cup of tea!). House has a lot of history and new owner definitely put a lot of thought into the remodel. Highly recommend. If back in Athens, I will stay here again.

We were in town to watch a UGA softball game. This adorable home is perfect. Comfy, cozy, everything we needed. The host communicates in a timely manner. You can’t ask for a better experience. Will definitely book again next time in Athens.

Had an amazing time staying. Me and my family really enjoyed it. Everything was clean and organized definitely would recommend staying again.
