We had an amazing time in Natchez, Ms. This home was comfortable and conveniently located to downtown. Most of our daily activities were a 3-10 minute drive from this beautiful home. I would highly recommend checking out the antique stores on Franklin St., Rosalie Manor, dine at the Natchez Coffee Co...(amazing fresh homemade bread), Frankie's on Main was the cutest eclectic dinner spot with amazing cocktails. We will definitely come back and stay.

Great location! Quiet neighborhood.

The home was large and spacious. The furnishings and beds were great. It was warm in the afternoon as this older home struggled to cool off in the late June weather. The DVD player is broken. However, overall I would rate this to be a wonderful lodging.

Love the old charm with the modern upgrade

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful house! The pictures online are nice but it’s even better in person. There was plenty of room for the four of us and the swing on the porch was one of our favorite places.

The rooms were very generous and it was great that everyone had their own bathroom. I was in the back bedroom and I wish there had been more counter space in the bathroom for my cosmetics, etc. But overall we would stay with you again. Thanks for everything.

Girls weekend! Spacious place, old home with lots of charm. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historic cottage. We walked to many areas in Natchez and really enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch. If you like historical homes and don't mind that they are still bring renovated, then you will thoroughly enjoy this place.

Nice, handy

Love the roominess and decor. The dishwasher not working and no ice maker in the fridge (only 2 ice trays) were not great but, our overall experience was wonderful!
3 bathrooms for 4 ladies was nice!

When our group arrived we were surprised to find that someone else was in the house. Seems as though we were double booked. The other couple was able to get in touch with property manager and find another location. Later that evening we were enjoying drinks on the front porch and the neighbors started arguing. Things quickly escalated and the police arrived. We were able to get in touch with property manager and she seemed to be aware of the problems next door, which was about 10 feet away. We were very uncomfortable being put in this situation!! Location was very close to the downtown area but not sure I would feel comfortable walking. Keep in mind this is an old house, overall the house was straight. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. We did love the town of Natchez and will be back again.

House was great. You need to be the type that is into the older 1880's type home and if you are you'll love this home. Well maintained, loaded with vintage articles to view and discuss with your other guests. Our bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable. We made the walk to town everyday but one. Four trips, rained out one day. We truly enjoyed the walks. Good way to see the sites. Looking forward to a return trip.

Highly recommend this cottage. Perfect location close to everything in Natchez. Quiet neighborhood. Very clean and spacious. Owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. Loved the little courtyard in the back.
Only sad part was we didn’t get to see Sylvester the cat. He must have been staying warm somewhere.
Will definitely consider staying here again on future trips to Natchez.

I absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay. 10/10 would recommend if you appreciate historical homes. I would love to know the history of this cozy home. It is very spacious so there's plenty of room. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. Yes, it has its quirks, but an old home will and that's what makes it special. We loved sitting on the porch and loved on the sweet kitty that was hanging around. It's a step back in time, if walls could talk I would love to listen. We saw deer, squirrels, chipmunks, and numerous birds including a screech owl in the woods behind the house.
There isn't a TV in every room so if you or the children like to watch it while in bed you make want to bring a tablet. It didn't bother me as I didn't even turn one on the whole weekend.
We were in town for the Longwood Music Festival and I'm so thankful we booked this home. We usually stay in a hotel when in Natchez, this home was so much more relaxing. I will definitely be back and so thankful the owners opened up to share this beauty.
Little tip for those driving small cars, park on the street, the driveway will scrape the bottom of a car.
Once, again thank you. We thoughly enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back.

Great location, a bit far to walk if taking lawn chairs, but easy drive to downtown area, able to find parking. Great house, very authentic, with smells of sweet olives everywhere!

Loved the property and the outdoor fire pit. Also the neighbors precious little cats, very cute. It was also a new thing for me to park my car in the street, Natchez is a town of one way streets and a place for people who like to walk from one business to another. We found the food at most restaurants very good and seeing the Mississippi River was a delight.Thank you Marla

We love Natchez and enjoyed staying in this 1880's house. Great communication with the owner, close to historical downtown and houses. So nice to have three full bathrooms. If you are looking for a tour, I recommend Rev's. He is a wealth of information and has a great sense of humor. The Camp is a great place for dinner and recommend Natchez Coffee Company for breakfast. Tommy, aka Shorty, is the best waiter ever. Step back in time with a stay in Belle's Cottage and a visit to Natchez. A tip...if your car is low to the ground, park in the street.

Great location to explore all that Natchez has to offer! It was 5 minutes away from everything. There was also a nice amount of space for 5 adults. The house is well maintained for its age. Natchez feels a bit like taking a step back in time, and this house felt exactly the same!

We couldn't have picked a better house to rent. Worked great because 3 bedrooms plus a twin, we didn't use it.The owners were so gracious and what a pleasure , we couldn't find the house and she was so nice and drove over to get us to the right house. There are so many one way streets we got all turned around. I would give 5 stars for this rental. We had a wonderful time and will have lasting memories there.

The house is unique and interesting in its history, very fun to look around but more challenging to get settled and comfortable. We made it work for our one night stay but I would not recommend it for families with young kids.

I appreciate Marla and her husbands quick responses to our issues. Her attempt to recify the inconviences was much appreciated as well. Although this house has great bones there are much needed areas of improvement.
Check-in process was good. When we initially arrived and walked into the front setting/ living room to a basket of authentic cotton which was not in the photos online. The cotton was very upsetting and offensive to me and my family. This should be taken into account for any future black guests.
Cleanliness of the house was okay but we did notice a few cobweb's in some locations. The shower closest to the king bedroom wasnt the best. All 4 of us ended up using the shower in the queen bedroom with the bookcases because it felt cleanest.
Unfortunately the beds were not the most comfortable. The queen bed was mildly soft. However, the king bed and full bed were very hard and extremely uncomfortable. We suggest the owners stay in those rooms for a couple night to experience their guests overnight stays.
On the 3rd night the batteries in the keyless died and the owners husband had to break into the house to let us in. That was a 2-hr issue in the middle of the night. Marla was quick to respond the next morning to try to rectify this inconvenience and make the rest of the stay more comfortable.
In my opinion. This property needs a lot of TLC to make it more comfortable for modern guests while still keeping some of the house natural charm.

If you are into vintage - this one applies. Historic home, in great shape for a vaca. Hosts are lovely.

Driveway and yard could have been straightened up more. A few door handles were loose. Lacked lighting. Some lightbulbs were out, too. Maybe hand bars in the bathroom, the tubs were lovely but hard to step into. We loved the kitty cat! The atmosphere was lovely and authentic. The furnishings were very true to the era. Loved all the old books. Very nice towels and amenities. Really the dimness of the house was the biggest problem.

We absolutely loved this house. It was clean and had everything we could possibly need. The location is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown and only a few minutes from the houses we wanted to tour. The thing I loved the most was that all 3 bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking meals as well as a coffee maker and blender for drinks. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Natchez.
