We keep returning to this property as it offers so much. It is comfortable, near to town but away from traffic, and although the walk back uphill is demanding (taxis are plentiful and reasonably-priced) the view is the main attraction - directly over the harbour, perfect for watching marine activity and a grandstand view of the June fireworks. The hosts are always very helpful and quick to respond to queries or problems. Obrigada!

Estivemos 2 pessoas nesta casa da freguesia de São Pedro durante uma semana. A casa está muito bem equipada, a zona é muito sossegada e a vista é deslumbrante. A partir do momento em que o terraço começa a receber sombra e até ao final da noite, é difícil pensar em melhor local para estar. A vista para o Funchal e para o mar é deslumbrante e um verdadeiro bálsamo, simplesmente não apetece sair dali. A chegada do ferry "Lobo do Mar" (cerca das 22h30), e cuja marcha podemos acompanhar, como que fecha o dia da melhor maneira. Altamente recomendável!

We stayed here over Christmas and New Year and had an amazing view of the fireworks. It is an easy, short walk into town downhill but coming back is more challenging so when with pushchair took a taxi back from shopping centre 4-5 Euros otherwise walked and broke a sweat! Beds were harder than we like but adequate. Comfortable sofas. Great supply of towels and sheets and very well equipped kitchen. Very clean, no bugs! We loved the big balcony too.

Another lovely stay in this well-equipped and comfortable apartment, although sadly the coronavirus situation became serious during our visit and life became difficult for residents and tourists alike. The owner was very helpful in booking taxis and accommodating us. I hope that one day we will be able to return.

The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood. Great view. Nice decor.

2nd time in this property, excellent

We had a great time staying in this apartment and were alot fitter when we left than when we arrived as you have to climb a steep hill to get there! There's everything you need to make your stay comfortable and a great balcony to sit and enjoy the view.....it well positioned above West Funchal above and very close to two lovely museums. The only problem was we found the balcony door difficult to open with the key. This property is also ideal if you hire a car as it has a garage (we didn't a car you you might if you want to visit more of the island. We'll be back to Madeira again and would like to rent the apartment again if it's available.

We have just spent 2 weeks in this property, May 12th 26th 2018. This apartment is basic, clean, and has everything that one needs, has a secure garage, and best of all........ Fabulous views over Funchall harbour, from the lovely sunny balcony. The apartment is up a fairly steep hill, in a residential area, but if one takes the hill slowly, it’s not a problem. As for shopping, we bought only what we needed on a daily basis, so as to avoid walking up the hill with heavy bags. The apartment is only 10 minutes away from Funchall Centre and all its attractions. We had a thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable holiday, for our second visit to Madeira, if we go back next year, I would not hesitate to book the same apartment again! Many Thanks to Joao and Maria, who always answered any queries within a very short time. Highly recommended!
