The renovations they did on the building are tasteful, elegant and beautiful. Everyone on the staff was so kind and attentive and helpful. Room was very comfortable. One of my best hotel experiences.

The property is so beautiful on the inside. Total did not match the surroundings. We were greeted by the door man who took our bags while we received a tour of the property. When we got to our gorgeous room we were stunned. Our bedroom you're living area were so grand and the bathroom was so modern and beautiful. The service from the staff was 5 star quality. Everyone was so helpful and wonderful we would love to return soon

I picked the Monument because of its Design which was really beautiful in reality and the location which is exactly what I wanted. What I didn't know what the human element.... and this is where this gem of a boutique hotel really delivers! Every single person in the staff is incredibly friendly and they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends.

A Perfect Overnight Stay
Despite arriving late, my stay at Monument Hotel was an absolute delight. The hotel itself is stunning and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring my comfort from the moment I arrived. My room was a peaceful sanctuary with a beautifully appointed bathroom. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day. While my stay was brief, it was undeniably wonderful. I would happily return for a longer visit.

This unique hotel sets itself apart with its stylish design in the heart of Athens. The historic building retains its charm and is a wonder for those seeking an alternative aesthetic and attention to detail. The breakfast was superb along with the charming staff make this hotel a joy to stay in. The piece de resistance is the steam room which you can enjoy by yourself if booked in advance.

Amazing hotel in a central location. Very private. Only drawback is no elevator. We stayed on the top floor which is a hike and not accessible unless you are fit.

Gorgeous property with great location, five minute walk from Monastiraki metro station/Monastiraki square. Staff were excellent and very attentive. Daily breakfast was amazing. Hotel is small so was quiet. Restaurant next door to hotel was one of the best meals that we had on our entire trip

Great hotel with great service. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed, with hand painted ceilings and other special features. The king sized bed was fantastic. Couldn’t have been better.

The hotel was very nice and convenient to go to many nearby areas, including the Acropolis. You have access to the spa and dry sauna and get free (very delicious) breakfast!
The staff was the best, always doing their best to make sure you are comfortable. Highly recommend this place, I would definitely go back!

The building is beautifully restored and there is a feeling of warmth and cosiness as soon as you enter the front door.
The staff could not have been any friendlier or more hlepful, it was 5 star all the way. Especially look out for Christina, waitress at the breakfast and the hotel's manageress who were wonderful.
We stayed in the room on the top floor (the 'nest') with the jacuzzi. Despite the view, the room was not as well equipped and as comfortable as I would have expected for that price which was a shame as we were very excited to stay there (:

My husband and I went to Athens and stayed 3 nights at Monument Hotel. I rarely give reviews, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. The people were some of the kindest I’ve met, their food at breakfast is amazing, and the hotel itself is absolutely breath taking. There are no elevators, so if that’s not a problem for you, BOOK IT! You won’t regret it!!!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Monument. This is a design lovers hotel for sure, every element is well thought out to create a quiet and romantic mood - which you need in the very bustling Athens. The service was exceptional and breakfast was lovely.

Now this is what they mean by the word Boutique in Boutique hotels.
Perfect treatment, great friendly people (simply all of them) you can see all staff were handpicked. You notice when someone makes a real effort to make sure you have a good time.
We felt like we were guests in someone’s home with full focus on us. The rooms were perfect with great attention to detail everywhere.
We will certainly be back.

Great location - with walking distance to acropolis and other sites and lots of shopping and nightlife nearby. Staff amazing with personal attention. Beautiful room with huge balcony (room 1). Generous and delicious breakfast. Only minus points- no elevator so not appropriate for some disabilities and can be loud at night due to nearby taverns. But I say worth it. I usually don’t leave reviews but they deserve 10/10.

This is an exceptional Hotel, and by far our favourite in Athens. Our deep appreciation to Eleni and all her remarkable team. We visit Athens several times a year and this will now be our residence in town. Thank you for making our stay so special in your beautiful historic building.

We loved staying at Monument! It felt like we were in a stunning home. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully curated. Everything was perfectly boutique feel. The location is exactly in the middle of everything. The breaks fast was delicious.

Front desk staff were amazing! They were extremely accommodating and saw to it that we could check-in early. This was much appreciated after our 10+ hours flying. The breakfast was exceptional and staff truly interested in making our stay memorable. Would book again!
