"Casa de Valdemar" is a beautiful and charming property with loads of character, beautifully restored, surrounded by 2.5 hectares of landscaped gardens.

The property has two buildings:
- The mansion, with 8 spacious and exclusive rooms, all en suite. 7 bedrooms with twin beds, one of which has a cot and also one with a double bed and a cot bringing the total to 16/18 people in the mansion (no more than).

- The second building, which is a duplex house, between the main house and the pool, has four bedrooms all en suite with a double bed and a single bed (for 3 people each).
* Please note that you can rent the main house only or the main house with all or part of the duplex studios. If only the main house is rented, all studios will be closed. If you rent the main house and some of the studios, the rest will be closed. In other words, if your group is bigger than 16/18 people, then it is necessary to rent one to four of these duplex studios and you only pay for the ones you use, the amount is 30€ per person per day and the payment it is done at check-in. The remaining studios will be closed, as the property is for the exclusive use of guests.

The main house also features:
Ground floor:
1- games / reading room, where you can play cards, chess, listen to music or read the newspaper in the quietness of the room.
2 Spacious living room, with two sofas and chairs, satellite TV, DVD, music centre, fireplace and some books, with patio door leading to an outside garden.
3- five en-suite bedrooms
First floor: Three bedrooms en suite
Basement: The lower floor is open plan with views over the valley.
1- large granite topped dining room, ample seating for all, with patio door leading to a patio and BBQ area outside looking out over the valley with garden furniture, ideal for 'alfresco dining'.
2 Spacious fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, two large fridge/freezers, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and all the usual appliances and equipment.
3- Pantry and laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
There are areas outside where clothes normally dry quickly, so children's clothes, shorts and t-shirts are not an issue.
There is also a ping-pong table and games in the living room by the pool.

This place is ideal for families with children, as there are several options offered in complete safety: games, football, swimming, table tennis and lots of freedom for children to explore the environment safely.
Senior groups are also welcome as the main house has a lift.

Walking distance to all amenities. The small village (Longra) is 0.4km away. In this village we have restaurants, pastry shop, cafes, pharmacy and supermarket. The town of Felgueiras is 4 km away. There, you can find big supermarkets, shops, very good restaurants, etc.
The setting is rural, although there are a few other properties nearby. However, not overlooked by any properties.

There are several restaurants within a radius of 5 km where you can taste the best of typical regional and Portuguese cuisine at very reasonable prices. The local wine is absolutely fantastic. When ordering food, always divide the portions, as they are enough for at least two people.
16 km from the property are the historic cities of Amarante and Guimarães, both recognized by Unesco as World Heritage.
20 km away is the religious city of Braga.
At 35 Kms (25/30 minutes by motorway) there is also the main city in the north of Portugal-Porto.
The Douro Valley, where the vineyards that make "Port Wine" are located, is also 35 miles away.
The airport is 40 miles away.
Easy access to all these parts.
