Not what it’s made out to be. Poor communication, hot water wasn’t working, had to mess about with the boiler myself. No welcome, a woman just gave me the key, told me there was no parking and left. Turns out there was parking, found out three hours later after a glass of wine so car was parked 3 streets away and stayed there. Neighbours have trouble getting their kids to bed and out in the morning. I couldn’t understand what they said but it was certainly loud. Couldn’t fully open the bedroom door because of a sofa propped up behind it. Had to work out the internet connection for yourself. The apartment was a dumping ground for unwanted furniture it seemed. I could go on. Won’t be going back. Duisburg is lovely though.
