A beautiful property on the Lake… beautiful in the winters.

The property is quite modern in the rooms and the veranda for meals is lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing really. A couple of hitches which weren’t the properties fault. I wish the lake in general was cleaner and that the environment is better cared for in India.

First impressions were good, but it all fell apart after I payed. Room was dirty, old mattress and food left outside our room for 2 days. NO hot water at all for 3 days. No attempt to correct any issues at all. All in left us really upset as things just got worse and worse. They owe me £140, which I can’t get back.

Fast zentral und doch sehr ruhige Lage am See, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, große, abgeteilte Dusche mit wunderbar warmem Wasser (wir waren im Winter da bei Temperaturen von 8-10 Grad abends), schönes Restaurant mit herrlicher Terrasse direkt am See, daneben ein einladender Swimmingpool, gute Frühstücksauswahl - zusätzlich auch a la Carte, freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal.

Hotel ist nur durch eine schmale Sackgasse per Fuß zu erreichen, Parkplätze ca. 350 m entfernt auf der anderen Uferseite (Parkhaus). Das Hotel ist jedoch sehr hilfsbereit und bietet einen Zubringerdienst fürs Gepäck an. Wir bekamen am Abreisetag um 8.30 Uhr per SMS mitgeteilt, dass wir das Haus bis spätestens 11.00 Uhr zu verlassen hätten, da die Zimmer für die nachfolgenden Gäste gereinigt werden müssten. Eine etwas seltsame ‚Verabschiedung‘.

It was amazing, so accomodating

We liked mostly everything about the property. It's location, vibe, staff behavior, facilities, food. After you enter the property, you get transported to a royal treatment by the staff. Loved every minute of our stay there. Couldn't enjoy the foot massage offered by them, as we were short on time. Would recommend it to everyone.

Only negative thing is the parking,as they don't have the parking. It's in old udaipur, so no private parking. You have to park in the govt. parking, which is around 500-700m from the property and govt. parking is also congested. Our driver searched some dharamshala for his stay and parking. So, for drivers, it's really a problem. The resort people send you an auto to take you till the resort. First impression is not good, as it is located in the lanes and smaller bylanes, but after you enter, everything is exceptional. So, bear this with a smile.

Just as the management told us, "we want you to feel you are at a friend's place & not in a hotel"... And that's exactly the warm welcoming treatment we received. We loved our stay. The ambience, the rooms, the restaurant, the food, the view, the staff .. Have helped make our first trip to Udaipur unforgettable. Thank you guys for the beautiful hospitality... especially Gaurav and Jitender.

The Lake side restaurant has Excellent location. Decor is great. Very nice Chic hotel, surely to stay again. Never expected from the small lanes entrance, the Hotel surprised me 100%. Wonderful property.

This was our favourite hotel during our trip to India. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The lunch and dinner we had there were amazing. They offered us complimentary services like high tea in the afternoon and a foot massage (which was amazing!). The rooms were spacious and super clean and the balcony had really pretty views to the lake. It was also quiet at night. We really recommend this place!

Well located and bright inside. Everywhere was painted white and the paint seemed fresh Some nice touches - hand written welcome message and kit-kat! Complimentary “light tea” and foot massage set a good tone to the stay

For my wife and myself, this was easily one of our most memorable stays. This place is located right in the center of city, so you will be able to walk to City Palace, Jagdish Mandir and other shopping areas without needing an auto. The hotel itself is lake facing, it was a joy waking up each morning and sitting in our balcony watching sun rise and the calm effect and lovely breeze. We visited in October so the weather was pleasant. Breakfast is free and the taste was great. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The whole property is newly constructed and they were adding new rooms as well. Some people complained that the access to this property is very narrow and cannot be accessed by auto or car. We didn't have any such issues. From the main road, it takes about 2 mins to walk to the property and there is a old city charm as one walks through the gullies. Staff was so polite and helpful. They came to pick us up from the main road and dropped us when we were leaving. We would like to especially thank Sagar and Anuj. Right from the time, we booked the stay till we left, they took great care of us. If we come back to Udaipur, we would like to stay here again. Though this place is not as expensive as other lake facing properties, this is easily one of the top hotels in Udaipur and if you want to stay here, please book well in advance. You will not regret your decision.

The infinity pool overlooking the lake amplifies the beauty, and the restaurant's extensive menu, offering both European and local cuisine, adds to the experience. The provision of very large bottles of water in the room and the overall great value for the money enhance the stay. Additionally, the staff's assistance with travel arrangements, taxis, and their thoughtful gesture of a breakfast pack for your trip further elevate the hotel's appeal.

Der Aufenthalt hat uns wirklich außerordentlich gut gefallen in diesem Hotel. Von Anfang an wurden wir durch das Hotel-Team bestens umsorgt. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber, die Ausstattung war gut. Besonders gefallen hat uns der direkte Blick auf den See sowohl von unserem Zimmer als auch im Restaurant. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral, viele der Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie die Innenstadt sind fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener und empfehlenswerter Aufenthalt. Gerne wieder !

Breakfast is good. Entry to the Hotel is not good. Location of Hotel is good, specially lake side resturant is amazing.

Food price is on the higher side compared to other star hotels. Could have been little cheaper at per with the food quality. However, preparation and presentation is good.

Great location - walkable distance into the bustle of the old city, but tranquil and clean inside.

The first room we had, had a leak from the toilet. But this was quickly handled by staff who upgraded us to a very nice room with no leak. No attempt to clean the rooms during our 3 day stay.

No safes in the rooms. Hammering and drilling for two days as they were installing built-in furniture all day up til 9 pm when I complained. Repeating (several times by email) the check- in instructions which involved meeting across the bridge due to its location in the historic area but the so called hotel arranged tuk tuk was not there when we arrived and eventually my driver got us there.

We had the best time! The hotel has a perfect location, with a perfect view and very friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable, cozy and clean, and an amazing balcony. And the pool is great to take a swim.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön aufgebaut, mit einem sehr sauberen Pool, gutem Restaurant (hatten ein lecker Frühstück) und toller Aussicht. Das Team an der Rezeption und im Restaurant waren sehr zu vorkommend (early Check-in). Unser Zimmer war super! Sehr sauber, neu und einfach richtig komfortabel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben! Man wird vom Team am Parkplatz abgeholt, findet das Hotel aber auch alleine mit Hilfe von Google Maps und ein bisschen Orientierungssinn.

Udaipur, the city of lakes, holds a special place in my heart, and my recent stay at "Verandah by Moustache" only made it more enchanting. This serene property, nestled on the shores of a Pichola lake, exceeded every expectation, offering a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff, Sagar and Gaurav. Their genuine hospitality set the tone for my entire stay, making me feel like a welcomed guest in their own home. The property itself is a haven of tranquility. The well-maintained place provides a breathtaking view of the shimmering lake. Watching the sunrise and sunset from this vantage point was an absolute highlight of my visit.

The staff is very professional and goes out of the way to make you feel welcome, especially Sagar and Gaurav. Got a free room upgrade without asking. Complimentary High tea too. The lake view room is to die for. I sat in the balcony for hours, just admiring the view and the various birds that were flying by, all whilst sipping a hot cup of tea. I haven't seen any other hotel offer a similar view at this price range.

Given that they'd been operational for only 10 days, the teething issues can be excused, as the friendly attitude more than makes up for it.

Moustache verandah is a spacious yet cozy place that exceeded all of my expectations! The rooms were well designed and the food was delicious. The staff and the management ensured that we were comfortable and went an extra mile to ensure their guests' well being. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wishes for a memorable lake side stay in Udaipur.

It was an amazing stay which was made exceptional due to the support of a highly trained staff. The rooms are spacious, airy and have a pleasant vibe. The food is fresh and flavourful and the kitchen staff was more than happy to customize our orders as per our taste. (Mushroom soup and pesto speghetti were my personal favourites) The photographs do not do justice to this beautiful place and the infinity pool is just cherry on the cake. The hotel made sure that they arranged anything that we required for our stay, and went an extra mile to facilitate that. Service is prompt and efficient. A must visit if you wish for a relaxing and peaceful stay in the heart of the city.
