Our stay at Erik and Lia's place was truly wonderful. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a thoughtful gift bag and other touches to celebrate our anniversary. Their hospitality and kindness made us feel so grateful and at ease. The furnishings and decorations were simply stunning, and the backyard was incredibly beautiful. It was hard for us to leave, and we felt quite sad saying goodbye. We fell in love with this place and would give it more than 5 stars if we could. We're eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

The photos don't lie, this place is pristine. Nice amenities were included. We typically bring things like aluminum foil, zip bags, etc , but the host thought of everything we might need. Very convenient. Easy to get to waterfront restaurant and bars, just 3 blocks away.

The house was beautifully decorated, inside and out, and was furnished with fine linens and everything you could imagine needing. We especially appreciated the special touches (ie. the welcome letter from the hosts, the special bag of snacks, a refrigerator stocked with beverages, chilled wine glasses and a bottle of wine! Even the toilet paper rolls were sealed with a wax stamp. It was a short 5 min walk to downtown, Saturday Farmers market and Sunday Brunch at The Table was amazing. Thank you for a perfect weekend. We can’t wait to come back!!

If you come across the Jewel Box listing - book it now! This was easily the best rental property I’ve experienced. The house was very clean, the hosts are beyond helpful, the bed is comfortable, the backyard is great for coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evenings, and the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need (washer/dryer, pots/pans, ironing board, etc.) The hosts are fantastic. They left us a small welcome bag with snacks, and when I accidentally left something they offered to mail it to me! We had a slight technical issue unlocking the door with the automatic keypad at check in. We messaged the hosts and they showed up within minutes, despite it being late, to resolve the issue. The customer service is fantastic. If we’re back in Edenton, the Jewel Box is where I’d like to stay.

The host was very responsive and easy to work with. The Jewel is nicely renovated, tasteful decorated and a clean quaint little home.

This place is well taken care of. It has all the things one needs, for a home away from home!
