The owner is great to work with and very communicative as we had a couple questions prior to our stay. Check in process was a breeze and the attention to details as far as having a few spare toiletries in the bathrooms were a nice and welcoming touch. The house is better than the pictures can show. Bedrooms were all spacious and it has more than enough bathrooms. It sits in a great cove where the kids could swim and we didn’t need to worry about traffic. Paddle boards and kayaks are at the dock as well. Great slip for your boat and it even has a jet ski dock if you need it. We would definitely stay here again!

From the comfortable house, to the stocked game room (board games, pool, table tennis, foosball) to the easy lake access and doc, our family was super refreshed by our time at Lakehouse getaway.

Great house. Clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Joanne and husband was very helpful anytime I called her. Great place for kids to play in water with kayaking which they provided. They had a ball. My son-in-law brought his boat and perfect place to put it. Thanks for sharing your home. Hope you don’t sell next year. Joann and John

The setup of the house was exactly what we needed. There's so much space. The outdoor space was incredible and the upper deck was perfect.

Although we had rainy weather, we really enjoyed our stay. The roominess and many games in the home were very enjoyable and having two refrigerators was very handy. We would definitely go back!

The house was pretty incredible with all the spaces and sleeping availability! It’s right on the lake too which provided some beautiful views!

This is the second year my family has stayed at this house. We really enjoy the location. This year though the house wasn’t as clean as it was last year. The floors were filthy and the kids socks were black after an hour of playing around. The house needs a little updating also. It’s a big place and sleeps a lot and is reasonably priced that’s why we stayed there the past two times. Just needs a little TLC.

We had a great time at this beautiful home. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation from game rooms to outdoor amenities. The house is very spacious with many gathering rooms and small nooks to get away if needed. Being on the water is the main attraction and doesn’t disappoint with views of the main lake out to the right and the boat house with kayaks and paddle boards ready to go. Joanne is an excellent host who is very attentive and has great communication. Than you!

Excellent Owners, were very communicative throughout the stay. Cold weather affected the water pressure so things were a tad inconvenient for us (showers, dishwashing, etc). The house itself was great. What was seen online is exactly what you get with the house. The family enjoyed the space and I would recommend bringing a large group here for the getaway/retreat experience.

Stayed there as a work retreat with 6 adults. All the bedrooms had full size beds or larger, which was great and is rarely found. The owner is very responsive to questions/requests. We all loved the home and all the activities at the home.

The listing is accurate and communication with JoAnne was timely. The house is clean, spacious and well-equipped for our needs. The house is on a dead end, with only few other houses past the rental. The location is safe and quiet, and still convenient to shopping and restaurants. Our stay was for an annual Ladies Retreat. We were able to have our meals and programs at the house, and also took a sight-seeing tour of Lake Norman. We spent the remaining free time on the patio overlooking the water. The weather was perfect for the weekend. We have already blocked off time to stay again next year! Overall, JoAnne is a wonderful host and made the house perfect for guests! Also, she provided a welcome basket filled with bottled water and snacks, a nice unexpected touch!

We stayed at Joanne's beautiful lakeshore property while in the area for a family member's memorial service. We had 9 adults, 2 teens, and 2 children in our group, as well as several other family members dropping in at various times to visit. First and foremost, communication with the host Joanne was exceptional. No detail nor question went unaddressed. The house is an older property, but sits in an extremely beautiful and private location and met every need imagineable. The cleanliness of the house was top notch. There is so much room in this house, that if not careful, you may never see some members of your group. Beds were comfortable, plenty of bedding was available, and plenty of towels to go around. There is just a small supply of start up supplies such as TP, soap, etc., but this is clearly stated in the information that is provided. There is and abundance of dishware, utensils, drinking glasses, cookware, etc. The outside deck overlooking the lake is wonderful and we had a great Sunday evening cookout on the deck. The kids and adults enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboards as well. Everything about this property and it's host is 5 Star.

I gave the house 5 star because it was perfect for our purpose and Joanne was so helpful and accommodating. The house is huge and rambling. There were 8 adults and two children in our party, plenty of room and two beds that we didn't even use. Plenty of seating. We enjoyed the patio overlooking the lake view. We enjoyed the paddle boards and canoes. The house does need a little TLC but overall it worked well for us.

Bath room doors are not working, faced lot of challenges and anxiety. Property is cleaned ok, but not as it’s claimed as complete clean. Have seen lot of places are cleaned well. Beds are ok but it’s not as space as mentioned for 20 people. Owner is charging for additional cleaning and moving table etc in spite of we paid cleaning charges. Over all we had ok experience but host would have been little more flexible and given details before we get in.

This house was the perfect place for our family vacation. We have been coming to Lake Norman for several years now and this year was by far the best. The house was clean and comfortable and Joanne communicated everything exceptionally well. Would definitely rent this house again!

Had a group of 17 gentlemen for a bachelor party and was the perfect house to accommodate all our needs. JoAnne was fantastic helping us with planning, accommodating any requests, and just being so generous overall. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Everything was perfect. Awesome house with plenty of space, plenty of bedrooms, plenty of activities, and couches. The dock was very nice and well maintained. Owner was very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this house to anyone.

After celebrating my in laws 50th anniversary at the house last year, we enjoyed ourself so much we decided to make it an annual trip and celebrated their 51st this week! Another great trip!

We really enjoy the size of this house which comfortably fits 12+ adults and could probably fit up to 20 if needed. The location is great from both land and where it sits on the lake. The only reason for rating it an overall 4 instead of 5 is because of the fact that there is a need for some minor repairs around the house and on the dock. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay for a week or more with several people.

We were a family gathering of 15 with a bass boat for fishing. This house was clean, had a well-equipped kitchen and enough seating and sleeping for all. The outside upper porch area overlooked the lake and offered a relaxing place to grill and gather. After the sun went down, the game tables, pool and ping pong were enough to keep the teenagers off their cell phones. :) I would suggest, if you're planning on spending your time at the lake, bring a couple of cheap floats. You will be happy to know there are kayaks, and paddle boards for your use. The boat launch was close by for our bass boat, and we were also able to rent a pontoon for a few hours to pull our group on a tube out on the lake. It was easy to rent the pontoon boat at a local marina and pick up our group right at the house dock. Must say, this was truly a perfect trip and Joanne was a wonderful host!

This property was perfect for our group of 20+ family members. The kayaks, paddle boards, pool table, foosball table, firepit, ping pong table and card table all got a great deal of use. The kitchen was large and great for preparing meals for the group. Joanne responded quickly to any questions we had. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t say a bad thing about our stay. House had everything we could ever have needed. Any Seniors interested in this property should be aware that the path from the house down to the water is challenging.

The house was on the north end of the lake and takes a little bit of time to get to from the airport and is hard if you’re trying to Uber from the airport so plan on renting a car. Overall we really enjoyed our time at this house.
