One of the rooms I booked had bugs all over inside the room as one of the screen less windows were left open, a different room had a stink bug in the bed. Not the quality I expected from doubletree. Holiday inn would’ve been nicer.

Booked this hotel via hotels.com where a pet fee of $50 was advertised. The hotel accepted the terms of the booking when they accepted my reservation, however when I showed up the property I was told that I would be charged $75 for my pet. After explaining the terms of my booking to Stephan and the manager on duty Timothy, they reported that it was not their issue and that I would have to pay the $75 because they advertise it as such on Hilton.com. Given it was midnight and they also wouldn’t refund my stay, I was basically held hostage. I called Hiltons corporate office and they stated that they could not change the hotel policy and suggested that I discuss with a manager on duty (already did). In any case, I am filing a formal complaint with the FTC over these deceptive business practices because while it is only $25, if they are doing it to me they are likely doing it to thousands of others. Shame on you Hilton. Furthermore I requested a pack and play and they said they would bring it to my room, 20 minutes later one did not show up so I had to run out to my car to grab ours. Mind you this is after midnight with our toddler, and I offered to carry it up myself but the front desk said they were going to bring it. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

The gentleman at check in was very nice, but didn’t give me great directions on getting to the elevators for my room. I got lost for a bit then finally found my way. Overall the room was very clean, but when we got there the A/C was turned off, so it was a bit warm. Once we got the A/C going the room was comfortable. The one thing I really didn’t like is that the trees in the parking lot were dropping big hard spiky balls. I was worried my car would get dented from them falling, so I had to be careful about where I parked. I saw one fall and dent the hood of a pretty white Lexus. Be very careful if you park your car in their parking lot.

Extremely noisy outside area. Loud traffic all day and night as well with trains and their whistles. The room was very neat and clean but the toilet seat was ready to fall off. The AC unit was as loud as the outside noise when it was running. Luckily it was just a one night stay.

Updated rooms and beds were very comfortable. Exceed ou expectations. Very convenient to major roads into Dc.

The staff were all kind. Overall the hotel was clean. There were several issues though. The tub drained water slowly. This delayed in drainage caused a delay in showers because no one wanted to stand in someone else’s water. The sheer curtains facing the outside window was torn and I noticed there were torn curtains in several rooms. You could see this from the outside. The makeup mirror bracket was there, but the mirror was missing. Poor lighting in the room. We had to call for an ironing board. I’m not sure why it had a four star rating. I’m also not sure why several people gave it a 10, unless other rooms were in better shape than ours.
