There were 2 onsens on service which were great. But I was not told by the check in staff that I could also enjoy other nearby onsens :(

Service was very good. We were picked up at bus station very soon after we informed the hotel of our arrival. Room was clean and spacious. Futon was nice to sleep on. Onsen was good. Meals were delicious, especially the grilled beef.

+ Nice and spacious modern western style room. Very close to Zao Ropeway, Hotels provided 2 diferent public Onsens can be used. -I've special meal requests, and I've tried very hard reaching the hotel staffs before arrival.I sent 2 messages from hotels.com, I have made one intl' telephone calls, the staff informed me to leave messages via email and I've sent 2 emails with Japanese translation for the request. When we arrived, the hotel staffs informed me they did not get the messages at all.I feel quite bad and taken me so much time to inform them well in advance and the hotel still could not received the messages. At last they did manage to prepare adequate meal for me. I understand due to language barrier, this is a well standard hotel, i hope they could try and improve their service by using web- translator in responding requests for the guests in the future.

The onsen in the hotel was closed and need to walk about 70m to the onsen outside the hotel. You get wet when it rains.

Big western style room with in house massage chair. Japanese style dinner is good but on 2nd night, the menu is altered without notification. A bit disappointed as we think it is a high quality hotel.

Very clean and well-kept hotel in Zao, with generous rooms. Perfect for ski-trips or just for a relaxing weekend. Zao is not a big town, so the location is perfect if you want a bit more quiet place in walking distance of the ropeway. Free shuttle to and from the bus terminal goes frequently, available on request. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Despite the fact that we already had checked out in the morning, we could still use the hot spring bath when we came to the hotel to pick up our luggage in the afternoon, after a day of hiking.
