Glad this hotel was gated, as this was not a safe area. My friend and I were chased by a homeless woman begging for food. Apparently the tourist stuff at the cruise port is only open when there is a ship in the port. There was only one (overpriced) hotel around the corner that offered food, as Harbour View had their restaurants closed for the season…the rooms are a bit outdated, and the beds were fairly uncomfortable. However, the property is within walking distance to the ferry terminal.

WORST STAY IN BELIZE
Terrible stay, dirty, they didn't clean our room one day, they didn't let us know that the hotel restaurant would be closed and we had no option for breakfast or dinner. The shower in the room was either too hot or too cold, terrible for taking a shower. To top it all off, when we arrived at the hotel there was no one at the reception and it was ONE PM on a Saturday afternoon. We waited almost half an hour in the sun until a security guard showed up to open the door. The next night (7pm) a guest arrived at the same time my friend and I arrived back at the hotel and what happened? The new guest ended up on the street because there was no one at the reception.
Finally, the hotel manager (Franco) was super rude to us, treated me and my friend very badly and even raised his voice to the point of not even letting us use the hotel BATHROOM.

Property was nice. Pool was nice. Bed was too hard. Loud cars drove by over night. Belize city on a Sunday is not worth visiting. Staff were helpful. My massage with Gina was fantastic. 20 min to airport

Great location,staff,grounds were so nice, inviting and relaxing. We felt very safe. The only the was the door to the room was not fitted to the frame,all the cool air was going out and hot air coming in,you could see the sunlight coming in all around the door. We stayed in the Oleander room,very quiet, comfortable bed. This was our last 2 nights before we flew out,we usually stay at Raddison Ft George but they are in the middle of a total renovation. We will definitely stay here again it is a very nice place.

Tapas bar was great, people were nice, but the excursions didn’t work unless you were there on a day that had a cruise ship come in.

I stayed at the Harbor View from 05/25/2024-06/12/2024, I had an exceptional experience. I loved everything, the atmosphere, the amenities, the warm staff- the host is so sweet. I didn’t want to leave. The property is so beautiful, all the nature, trees, flowers, clean environment. It’s such a safe space. I also spend a lot of time at Martha’s Cafe which is owned by the Ms Martha who like I mentioned is so sweet and warm, caring. They have delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner at very good price. Totally worth it. The Cafe is next to the harbor so the view is so tranquil and relaxing. The property is located in the Tourist Village which is awesome, the ferry Stelling is like 5 mins walk and it takes you to the majestic keys, everything is so accessible. The bus terminal is like 20 mins walk and bus takes you to Talum, Mexico City, etccc. The Harbor View is like 10 mins walk into the town. There’s a beautiful lighthouse and Belieze sign like 2 mins walk. There’s Casio and lots of hangout spots but the property it’s self again is super super peaceful and beautiful. I will definitely go back for sure. ♥️🙏

We really liked it. Walkable to grocery stores/ other shops/ Belize City Water taxi if you want to go to Caye Caulker or San Pedro. Very nice and clean pool and you can have a beautiful date night at Martha’s cafe. Very courteous and humble staff.

We had to arrive in belize city a day early to catch a boat the next morning, and this was a great stopping point. The staff were very accommodating, pool was nice to lounge at, and room was comfortable.
