There was bad wiring in the room, so the main light kept flashing like a strobe light making it impossible to sleep. Plus the short in the wires wouldn't let my sleep machine stay on. So I had trouble breathing all night as well. I told they front desk and they apologized and gave me a different room for my second night. I don't think this was good enough, they could have given me a discount or something.

Staff was super friendly and helpful! The property has been getting some updates and they are making better. The lobby looks and smells great! Our room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is if you are bothered by noise overhead or you’re a light sleeper than you should request a room on the upper level. Also, if you have trouble with the tv the staff will come help resolve the issue. The tv is set up through WiFi with Roku and if it gets reset it can be a little challenge to get it connected but the staff will gladly help (it’s a quick fix).
We would stay again…great staff, comfortable room with a great price!

Our room door was sticking. We had to push hard to open and close our door. The air unit cover was loose and there was a gap to the outside.

First I was charged full price for a 6 hour stay, I called from Pontiac, after driving 12 hours from Tn. Guy says yes we have rooms, Went to Troy, Mi. Checked in, at around 3:45 a.m. at about 7a.m. some man knocked on my door woke me up, i opened the curtains to see a male standing outside my door in white painting clothes, I said GO AWAY! and closed the curtains, then about 9:15 a.m the mai starts knocking for me to checkout??!!!!!! I am STILL LIVID about this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I would like to request a call from a corporate agent, asap! My ph number is in my account info thank you

The Red Roof Inn Auburn Hills offers a great stay at a budget price. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy, and the location is great, being close to many dining and shopping opportunities like the Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall. I will definitely be returning.

Never had a bad experience until this red roof. Check-in was fine, but the guy working could have been more pleasant. Room floor needed a cleaning, but furniture looked new and updated. Bathroom needed some TLC, toilet didn’t always flush and we had to lift toilet tank lid to flush it, and baseboards missing. Only got 1-3 channels on the tv so we let concierge know but they did nothing. An hour into our stay a big disturbance broke out 3 doors down where a women was smashing and throwing things at a room. Police had to be called, and woke up the next day and the broken mess was still all over the ground. This is my first bad review on any Redroof and might be our last stay at one. Very disappointing.

The hotel did not have a jicuzzin as it stated in its over view when i was searching for a hotel this was a big deal for me as it was one of the reasons I chose this hotel Secondly there was someone above us who kept stomping around all night even after we notified the front desk it continued all hours of the night. Thirdly the room was much smaller than expected and the bed was a full size bed not a queen I have a queen bed at home and it was much smaller than my bed at home.

I didn’t get a chance to check in I was told I had till 1am and I arrived at 1255 am and no one was at the front desk to check me as well as given the wrong address online and I was denied access to stay because it was now after 1am when I spoke with someone and I want a refund please

Didn't have my reservation made w expedia, said i paid "too little" & that it was expedia's fault. Eventually put me in a room that cost more but i had no choice at that point.

When we got there the door to room had a big dent in frame like it was broken into. The fridge wasn't cleaned out had worker cleaned it for us. All of the TV's in hotel was smart tv and only shared 1 wifi so no Internet.

The room was comfortable and being on the ground level offered easy access and sight to my vehicle. I was however, accused of smoking in my room. The manager was great getting me in, but when I'd needed assistance with my tv, he had come in and said it smelled of smoke. I showed him my ashtray/cup that i was using to smoke and he told me i was going to lose my deposit. I did have half of a smoked cigarette in the pack that was on the counter and i know that can admit smells, but i obliged by all rules and am disgusted with how i was accused and treated. I do not recommend and most likely will never visit again.

He was still groggy, spoke horrible English if not on something as well. It took him awhile to find my reservation and finally issued a key for room 140. When i arrived the door was clearly open 2-3 inches, the room smelled and the sheets were dirty. As we had been on the road all day and he cleary was not the person to make anything right in that moment i simply told him the situation and left. Someone owes me a full refund including expedia point amt i used.
