I'll start with the building: poorly maintained, with only one elevator working for two days without any apparent reason. You won't have the pool shown in the photos, and you won't have it anytime soon; I clearly heard someone who seems to be the manager say that they "will try to have it ready by May 2025." The bar simply doesn't work. The cafe:expensive. The gym: at least 5 machines out of service. People walk through the hallways at 4.AM shouting without respecting others' sleep. Upstairs neighbors: excessive noise with their feet, moving furniture, etc.The door to the beach: you'll depend on a doorman because your electronic keys won't work. The staff: attentive, helpful. The room: could easily be 5 stars—excellent view, comfortable, very clean bed linens and
towels, excellent communication with the property manager (just a note, in any hotel
around the world, guests are usually offered up to 2 hours post-checkout time; you didn't do this for me, using the excuse that the cleaning company was coming, which I assume would be with the punctuality typical of the locals...). With a little help from someone with a bit of good taste, the room could have a 5 stars beautiful ambiance. The price is reasonable; it's hard to find something cheaper in San Juan, especially with the comfort and security offered.

My wife and I had a wonderful time during our stay at mare hotel/condo friendly staff all around make you feel comfortable and very helpful good communication mare is right on the beach once you exit out the back pretty convenient supermarket main street eateries the room was clean will definitely come back worth the cost

The location was near shopping, eateries and the beach. There is direct access to the beach and laundry on the premises. Easy check in and reserved parking in a secure parking garage. There is a gym and concierge service as needed.

My stay at Mare 1562 is the best place to stay with comfort, cleanliness, friendliness with such a beautiful view. Accessible to many shops, markets & restaurants. i Love my Island!!

The apartment we stay inside the unit felt moist all the time , no music like they told me in the lobby it was a old builing we spend most of the time out of the unit due to the moisture and the damp mess in the room and the parking garage. Also the advertisement of the outside place was totally off. They need to update the advertisement.

Great access to a beautiful beach. The only thing they need to give you better directions and state that the facility is in the ESJ towers, other than that everything was outstanding.

My mom and I had a tight budget for a short vacation. This property was PERFECT. We had a beautiful view of the water, easy beach access, a cafe in the lobby, a grocery around the corner, and a kitchen.

I down graded my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars because the pool was not in operation. It has been under construction since May of 2023! I think the ad should have mentioned that. We never saw the downstairs restaurant open, the stove is wedged in sideways next to a washer and dryer that are not hooked up, very hard to cook on. There were coin operated washers and dryers several floors down, but who wants to spend vacation in a laundromat. You could only use the beach until 6 PM.
It was easy to contact the property manager and he responded to our questions within a short time period. The view from the balcony was very nice, however, you are looking over the tops of other buildings to see the water.
We were within walking distance to several restaurants, there was on site free parking for our rental car, and the fitness center was easy to access. I might stay again for a short stay, but not for anything longer than 2 days. The pool was a main reason for choosing this property.

This is an efficiency room - so not much to write about. Clean and comfortable. Quiet and relaxing. "Kinda" view of the ocean (and full view of airport). Beachfront and lots of stores, restaurants, etc nearby - so great for walking. Gym is good enough for most workouts except true powerlifting. Pool under repairs and building in need of lots of maintenance, so that's why 4 stars for property condition - nothing to do with actual unit.

Place looked like someones grandma died in 1985 and they decided to turn her apt into a tourist rental property. The coolest thing about this apt was the colorful light up showerhead that they probably got off Temu. Make sure you take pictures of the property before settling in or else they might accuse you of stealing their overused beach towels.
