We had a wonderful stay at The new England hotel. Room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were just amazing and so helpful with everything. Breakfast was also very delicious. We look foward to staying again soon.

This is a convenient well run guest house in an old and dated building although the bathrooms and dining area are well modernized. Parking is difficult and front facing rooms were almost intolerably hot since I had the good fortune to be in England for the five days when they had summer!!

The overall experience was excellent. The proprietors were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was attractively decorated and furnished. The bedroom was very comfortable with its own spacious balcony overlooking the sea. the breakfasts were excellent.

We stayed there for 5 nights with our 2 teen girls joining over the weekend. Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.

A bottle of fizz had been left chilling in our room to help with our celebrations. Nothing was too much trouble and they booked a table at their favourite Italian restaurant for us. Our room was clean and cosy and decorated to a high standard. A tasty breakfast with several options was available. We had a room with a view of the sea and the whole guesthouse was beautiful with original features.

We have stayed in Eastbourne before but this is our first time at the New England and we would not stay anywhere else now. Our welcome from the hosts was so friendly. The whole place from our room to the dining room and lounge was spotless. Huge choice of breakfast menu and nothing was to much trouble. The seafront was across the road we could not have asked for more.

Very welcoming and hospitable hosts Brid and Derek- they will make your stay special. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, very clean room and the most delicious breakfasts. I can’t recommend it enough!
