Our whole family loved our stay at La Mansion Inn in the Arenal area. The hotel grounds were absolutely beautiful in every direction. We stayed in Villa #4, which had a King bed in one room and 4 twin beds in the other room. The hotel staff were very friendly, and there were incredible views from the pool. The only downside is the location in relation to other activites. It is located in the general Arenal area, but it is a bit secluded from the other main areas of Arenal (tours, restaurants, etc). That does make this hotel very peaceful and quiet, but there are not many options for dining other than on the property within 15 minutes drive. Overall we loved our two nights at La Mansion.

This property was great. We got there and the staff was very attentive and the place was clean. My husband's and I only concern....they need to expand their menu a bit. But overrall, stay was great. FYI, I would recommend if you want to do excursions by La fortuna, check elsewhere. This is a bit far out. I would stay here for a relaxing, calm getaway.

This is a beautiful property next to the lake in a very serene environment but there is nothing else to do around it. Food options are limited.

Property was beautiful - the only downside is it’s not walkable to any activities and many activities don’t pick up from the location. I would rent a car if I were to go back. The team found us transportation - it would have been more convenient to drive instead of having to pay each time you left the property. Staff was wonderful , rooms were perfect, food was excellent , view was amazing - quiet and relaxing ..defintley would go back

La Mansion Arenal was a comfortable, quiet, and accomodating property for our family trip to Arenal. It is quieter than La Fortuna and afforded beautiful views of Lake Arenal. Everything we ordered from the restaurant was delicious and enjoyed in a beautiful open air setting. The staff was kind and accomodating in all aspects. Allan at the front desk offered great tips on tours and the best places to enjoy activities with the family. I would easily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique place to stay in Costa Rica.

The location of the property is its biggest feature. It is located scenically right above the lake. The gardens are gorgeous and well maintained and the infinity pool and jacuzzi are perfect for relaxing. The rooms themselves are nicer than camping cabins but they do still have cracks in the seams that allow nature to come inside. The beds were comfortable and air conditioning was a welcomed must. The staff were friendly and attentive. With the slight inconvenience of being a 40 min drive away from La Fortune, the solitude and views accommodated for that.

This property is magical. The view feels like a private oasis in the mountains. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodations are exactly as pictured but the views are impossible to capture. The pool is a great with cool water and in room coffee and a fridge were unexpected treats! Housekeeping came each day to refresh and restock supplies to keep us tidy. Horseback riding with Mingo booked through La Mansion was the best experience of our entire trip! It was just our family of 4 through the farmlands, mountains and rain forest. He took as at our speed and let us jog the horses a little. The animals were beautiful, well-behaved and well cared for! We got even more out of this experience because we speak some Spanish but you will love it either way. We spotted lots of toucans in the trees and the views with picture spots were great! We enjoyed a light dinner and a full meal on two separate occasions and they were both good! Daily breakfast included in the rate made it easy to start the drives to activities easier. The staff in the restaurant are all super accommodating and friendly! There is a Spanish restaurant w/in walking distance along with shops for snacks and coffee. We didn’t try them but were happy to see after reading earlier reviews. Our favorite spot was a pizza and burger place just a few minutes away. Eclectic and great vibe! Driving at night without street lights is tough on the curves so eating nearby felt important to us.
