I had a budget room so it was ok, there are nicer options with balcony. There is a nice foyer to sit in. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Nice and central and only 10 minutes from the bus station.

I had a single room with no balcony,no terrace,a small window looking at my neighbours window with no air,no light,nothing!the room was small,dark and I got a headache after 5 min from the incredible smell of the cockroaches spray wich didn't go away as there was no wind coming in!warning all the single rooms are like this!!!!I asked for another room but they are all the same except doubles wich were not available as I would be very glad to pay the difference!I did book another hotel room as this was not bearable and I came back for the food wich was nothing to write home over neither but in line with the price!

We have stayed before at the Marte and it was ok. This time the room had a really bad sour drain smell the whole and we complained.. The breakfast was very very poor!! Cold beans... no scrambled egg.. very limited choice of hot food fatty bacon... overall it was not worth half the money and we won't return.. We are disappointed because we liked the service and location but they have dropped their standards too low I'm afraid..

The location was perfect for us and the nearby shops, restaurants and bus stop in addition to the old town sights were all within walking distance in the old town. Enjoyed the rooftop terrace and pool area. Would go back again.

Hotel Matte was is in a great location, only 5 mins walk to old centre of Puerto with bars,cafés etc. About 10 mins walk to the harbour. Staff are so friendly and can't do enough. Rooms have plenty of wardrobe space with extra draws. Cleanliness is exceptional. Bar staff great, just a brilliant hotel.

Hotel Marte is situated in the old quarter of the town and is very convenient for wandering around the picturesque lanes , visiting quaint restaurants and a short walk from the Harbour and the bus station.It is not on the modern and rather more brash side of the town, so if you want English bars, Irish bars, and large modern restaurants you would do better to go to the other side of the island. The hotel lets itself down by having grubby and stained carpet in the lobby that leads to the second floor and the lift, giving the hotel an unloved appearance to new guests, which is a shame as it could so easily be replaced. Although on its website the hotel says that all Superior rooms have a view of either the Atlantic Ocean or Mount Teide, this is not true as the first room we were given, room 302, had the view of a building and an array of corrugated iron roofs. Also the patio door did not lock and had a big gap between it and the wall, so we complained and were moved after three days to room 307 which was like chalk and cheese and not only had a locking patio door, but a terrace, a fan and a decent bed as well of views of both the mountain and the sea. The breakfast is plentiful but sadly lukewarm. The one dinner we had in the hotel when we arrived also had the potential to be a nice meal but was lukewarm as well. Small things like this could be attended to by the hotel and would make everyone's memories of the hotel better. Despite this I would visit this hotel again

Comfortable hotel in the centre of town. Close to restaurants and bars.There is also a substantial amount of free public parking nearby. There was a good variety of food at breakfast although the hot food was pretty cold. The staff at reception were brilliant and extremely friendly. The room was quiet and clean. The only drawback for the room was that this hotel only seems to have single beds. They are very narrow! They were fine for my husband and I (we didn't attempt to share one single bed) but may be a problem for others.

Very strange to find tea, coffee vending are covered during dinner and you r required to pay for drinking water. foods are there but they could do a bit more to improve taste and supply in time in dining area,

You get what you pay for. Rooms are clean, staff is very friendly. Comfort of the room was ok. No aircondition and a small window to the ugly backyard did not get the room cold at night. But to be fair it was one of the cheaper offers. No luxury but a good budget solution in m
