Excellent resort, enjoyed my stay!

I love the resorts, decor and staff...my only issue was the broken elevator and had to take the stairs most times but other than that, i love it, enjoy my stay

The resort was nice, clean and it was very relaxing

My first time staying at RIU and it was a great experience. The only minor thing was with the parking lot which was always full.

the property can be kept up nicer. like all plants were dead or half grown. pillows on all the chairs looked dirty and needed replacing. everyone seems to use them a pillow and sleep on them. you can tell that the property is needing some upgrades but overall everything was good

Nobody ever came to clean my room and the front desk host were very rude.

It was great staying at the RIU! My wife and myself had a great time! The only issue I have is that the music playing by DJs late at night.

The property is beautiful. I have a problem however, with foreign people coming to a Jamaican area, demanding the natives to play non-Jamaican music & the staff must abide by these ridiculous modern day bouts of colonialism & imperialism.

Great staff very entertaining. Not that great food. Beautiful property, had a little water park, gym, spa and pools. Had water sports free and others you pay for. Some bartenders can mix others can’t. Jerk chicken hut was good. The restaurants had better food. Had daily activities and shows.

Loved the RIU at the Bahamas but wasn’t my best experience in Ocho Rio

I like how the management team makes a lot of efforts to keep the place clean. The entertainment and food is very good. The staff is very friendly and polite. I didn't like the small area for the toilet area especially for a taller individual. I also didnt like that they dont line the trash cans in the rooms. The elevator is very small and can be slow at times. Overall a great place I will definitely go back.

Beautiful, awe inspiring, unmatched. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff/entertainment staff at RUI. I couldn’t say enough great things about them. They work tirelessly and enthusiastically. I know I paid for my vacation, but the experience was priceless. I came away inspired, motivated, and fill with gratitude. My heartfelt gratitude to everyone that made my vacation awesome.

The staff works at keeping the property clean and well-maintained. Some property maintenance issues need to be addressed, such as painting, repairing hallway lights, and fixing the elevators that are consistently broken. The check-in process was quick. They give a lot of information during the check-in process and when asked for a paper with the information, they state that everything is on the app. The room was clean and spacious. I paid for an ocean-view room and was given a garden-view room. I was too exhausted from traveling to go back to the front desk and inquire about the involuntary room change. The beds are really hard. I had back pain after the first night, the remaining three nights I had to get blankets and make it more comfortable for me to try and rest on. The blankets did not help my aching back. They also need to have larger signage on the property. Some staff members were friendly whereas others did not want to be bothered, and they treated the guests as such. The food was just okay, even at the Italian and Steakhouse restaurants. I agree with other reviewers, who said the resort needs to offer room service. Everything is supposed to be on the app. The activities on the app did not have a description of what they entail. It was a name. They should add a description of the activities versus forcing the guest to go to the activities to see what they are and if it is something they would like to participate in. Overall, I would not recommend this resort.

The workers at the resort were exceptional. The food choices, the amenities, and again the employees are the main reason I would come back. I do wish your resort have an ATM machine onsite

The rooms on the property is not what’s advertised it’s horrible smelled moldy had to request my sheets be changed the first day I got there because the bed wasn’t made before I got there also food very horrible don’t bother booking the restaurants at the resort had to go out to look for good food.

I wasn’t very impressed with the food. I am vegetarian and found that they offered the same options throughout the week. My room smelled like mildew. I won’t be staying at this resort again. Staff seemed overworked and most were not very friendly.

Loved the dinning for breakfast area and Adrian the waiter was awesome. My family just adore him as well as Nick the photographer. The spa area with the women was wonderful. Will come back

The hotel is beautiful and the entertainment is amazing. However, I got married there on August 13, 2024 and our room was flooded the next day. We weren’t offered another room, my clothes were soaked in my suitcase and my wedding dress hanging over my suitcase was soaked with toilet water. The hotel took no responsibility. They told us to take it up with the third party we got the room through. I asked them to clean my dress and they refused. I had to walk around in my swimsuit and cover up until my clothes were washed. I was a very frustrating experience. My husband and I wanted to put our wedding attire back on to take professional photographers in the town and we could not not have done so. Janeelihenry

The property was beutiful and we had an amazing time. the staff work very hard to maintain this place and it shows. no complaints here, and we will be returning.

This was my least enjoyable stay at the Riu Ocho Rios. The positives were the restaurant and bar staff. The negatives - I found the front desk less than helpful, and I noticed that unsightly spills / garbage was not promptly removed. We actually struggled to reach someone to clear a clogged toilet in our room. This happened 2 days in a row. Hoping they improve these sore points.
