No Manly trip is complete without visiting Manly Beach, and for good reason. This gorgeous beach spans 3km, so there’s plenty of space to spread your towel out on the soft wite sand and relax under the sun. Be rest assured knowing that this beach has three life surfing clubs along its perimeter, making it a safe place to swim, snorkel and surf. Shelly Beach is another beach in the area that is well-loved by locals and tourists alike. For those who like to scuba dive or snorkel, this is the perfect location as it has a maximum depth of approximately 12 metres and forms part of a protected marine reserve.

If you’re a fan of walking, make sure you walk the Fairlight Gardens walking trail, offering stunning harbour vistas, gorgeous fauna, and curious native wildlife exploring the area. The North Head Walk is another unmissable option, boasting a lot of history, panoramic views, and scenic beaches to be appreciated.

Fairfax Lookout is a stunning place to visit, which offers views over the top of heath-covered clifftops and across to unending ocean views and the Sydney skyline; if your eyes are keen enough, you’ll be able to spot the Sydney Opera House from here.

Getting Around:
Be sure to grab an Opal card before you hop on Sydney’s public transport system. Primarily, Sydney relies on their train network for travel in the city, though there are an abundance of buses and trams.
