This stylish holiday home is located on the outskirts of the pretty Yorkshire village of Crakehall, in the heart of the Lower Dales. The rural retreat welcomes six guests and suits both large families and groups of friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Crakehall is a friendly village, made up of historic buildings and 17th-century cottages nestled around a village green. There are some fabulous countryside walks branching away from the village, and after a long hike, you can refuel in the cosy village pub. You’ll find further eateries in the nearby market town of Bedale (2 miles), along with a fantastic array of independent shops. Local attractions include the Wensleydale Railway, Thorp Perrow Arboretum, and Constable Burton Hall and Gardens (all within 5 miles). You’ll also be within easy reach of the elegant town of Richmond (10 miles).
The cottage sits amongst a small complex of similar holiday homes. Inside, the property offers a warm welcome thanks to cosy underfloor heating, and the plush soft furnishings and statement furniture create a sense of grandeur throughout. After a busy day, unwind in the beautiful lounge where sumptuous seating is arranged around a roaring wood burner and a Smart TV. From here, an open archway leads through to the kitchen/diner, where you’ll find all the equipment needed for a self-catering getaway and a large, wooden dining table for sharing mealtimes together. Glass doors open onto the patio allowing you to extend the social space in summer months. Upstairs, discover three stylish and spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. Choose from an emperor bedroom with a 7’ bed, a super-king-size (which can be made up as a twin on request at time of booking) and a twin bedroom.
Outside, enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the enclosed patio garden which features outdoor furniture and a BBQ. You’ll also have access to a shared grassed area and an enclosed paddock – perfect for four-pawed guests. There is private parking at the property for two cars.
