The location was very central and within walking distance to Portree and various shops. The room itself was spotlessly clean and has just been refurbished (a new shower had been installed). The full Scottish breakfast was superb. The staff were incredibly helpful and cheery and the service was very quick. A major well done. Plus, we travelled with our dog and it was a really dog friendly environment. Sausages for the dog in the morning and water topped up when required! We'd definitely return and recommend the place for other travellers. It was a pleasure staying here for a few days.
The food in the evening was way overpriced for what was effectively pub food (£30 for three courses).

Room was cramped, which was okay for our one night stay but would not recommend for a longer stay.
Shower didn't work, but we weren't offered a partial refund despite this.

This was a charming inn with a delicious dinner and breakfast, amazing staff, and an adorable cat living on the premises. It was within walking distance of the local shops and restaurants, and it was easy to drive to all the iconic destinations throughout Skye. I had a lovely stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Breakfast was excellent. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone staying in Portree.
Only downside was lack of staff in the early early morning.

good selection of drinks at the bar, very friendly staff at the reception, the bar and at breakfast
dinner; staff poor and inconsiderate handling of issues with food availability (no beef), orders incorrect, espresso was actually ‘an extra spoon of Nescafé’, expensive considering quality and amount and the quoted price was excluding of 20% VAT.

This did not detract from our stay and understand that heat is subjective but for us it was way to warm

Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Also super dog friendly, they brought my dog a homemade biscuit when we checked in and also sausage for breakfast. Room exceeded expectations with a comfy bed and nice supplied toiletries. Good location. Would definitely stay again.
If the bar stayed open later but understand its a small hotel so will only depend if people are in or not. Would be handy to have vending machine to buy juice, water, snacks etc., for when bar and restaurant is closed.

Room was excellent. Staff excellent, good food. Well place.for going into Portree and other tourist attractions. Only 15 minutes from Old Man of Stor

The staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even our wee dog got a lovely welcome with his own biscuit on arrival and a sausage for breakfast!
The beds were too hard and uncomfortable. There was a bump in the bed where the beds were joined together as well which didn't add to the comfort.
