Good continental breakfast.
Air conditioning broke and had maintenance come and make repairs. It broke again during the night and spent a hot night trying to get to sleep. Also after we checked in tv was broken by previous guest. They forgot to replace it the next day when we were out. Had to remind them again and was interrupted by another repair job. Also the place is really dated. The bathroom had paint peeling. If I didn’t know better I would have thought I was at motel 6.

Location
Staff needs training on customer service. I found the staff unfriendly. The front desk lady is not willing to answer questions. My wife and I DID NOT feel welcome at all.

The room was not what we expected. The bed was very uncomfortable, the room had a damp smell, only a couple outlets were working I felt like I was staying at the motel 6. Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience at the Hampton Inn San Clemente.

Nice location and the rooms are spacious, staff was friendly and tried to help. Breakfast was good and everthing was clean.
No change and no washing detergent for laundry, even though they have announced that on a info note in the rooms. We had to drive to the next gas station at 11pm...

Property was easy to get to.
There wasn’t enough covered parking but there really is y anything that can be done for that based on location of hotel and the surrounding businesses.
Also, tv was not a smart tv so unable to use Netflix/hulu.

We arrived at 4 am and had a 11 am check out i requested a late check out because we had little to no rest but were denied although we paid for a Full nights stay and didnt even stay 7hrs!!!

The room was nice for two elderly women to entertain grandchildren. The beds were very comfy and the breakfast was tasty.
They didn't allow us one minute late check out and actually phoned the room at 10:55am. People in their 80s don't move as fast as they once did.

The walls are v dry thick so we were able to enjoy ourselves without disturbing others.
The Breakfast Buffet was amazing!!! Top notch food options!!!
Great location. Great Staff.
They have a natural sulphate free toiletries so you don’t have to bring your own. Big win. Most hotel toiletries are drying and horrible.
My only advice is to change the jacuzzi water more often. The guy put chemicals in it but the spa had foam and floaties. I wasn’t sticking my ladies parts in that water.

Breakfast was very nice. I liked the waffle station. I would have enjoyed some lactose free options.

Clean and a good room size. Comfortable queen beds. AC good so had an excellent nights sleep. Lovely towel art which was a great extra touch. Pool area small but nice to be able to sit outside on a longer although no sun in afternoon or evening.

The breakfast was great. There was something for everyone. The staffer working in the breakfast room kept it very clean and fresh food was put out consistently.

Power went out for most of the night 8 pm-3:40am and we were never told why. No apology. No other facilities in the area were affected because we went outside to check. We were there for business and could not use our computers. Also I was charged $210.17 when the stated rate on Booking.com was $185.17. Why was I charged an extra $25? Next time I guess 'll pay on the Booking.com site. Really felt like a gouge after having no power all night. There was also an altercation with a homeless person in the lobby with the staff. Staff handled it well.

maybe I prefer nice greetings from receptionist when I arrive and check in at front desk. not couple minuets of silence then “ what’s your name for the reservation “.

It was next to the wedding venue we attended. Pretty close to the beach.
The suite was nice. The size of the room was great.
